We purchased some "maple malt balls", chocolate covered oreos and chocolate covered pretzel bacon bites (for my bacon-loving buddy...he spotted those as soon as we walked in). A dish of chocolate mint ice cream was wolfed down and received a hearty thumbs-up review. He's quite an ice cream connoisseur and was very impressed with his treat. There's no alcohol in the maple syrup, but the maple syrup is aged in bourbon barrels giving them a deliciously strong aroma that is bound to delight any whisky or bourbon fan. We heard today that Brent is getting a new sugar house. The old one was in need of repairs. I'm excited to see what he is able to produce in his new sugar house. Lorraine also does a tremendous job curating her store and bringing together very cute Vermont-themed or country home themed items. It's easy to find a gift for anyone here. They are in the cute town of Manchester, which has a variety of other restaurants and regular retail stores up the street, so your shopping doesn't have to end when you're done with the outlets.
