In researching & pricing legal services for the eviction of problem tenants I spoke to several…read morefirms. I related to Daniel Pawuk that I have tenants repeatedly late in paying their rent and utilities. The utilities is under my name because they did not have adequate credit on their own. Utilities under my name was a big mistake. In addition to this the tenants were sub-letting to strangers when that was clearly a lease violation. There is also suspected drug trafficking behavior perceived by me and others in their neighborhood. I wanted to evict. This was around February 12, 2022. After listening to me Counselor Pawuk recommended that I wait a couple of weeks until the beginning of March to move forward with eviction proceedings. If they have not paid January and February they are less likely to pay in full come March. However, sage this advice was I went with a cheaper option with a firm in Tampa. That cheaper firm said that they will start eviction proceedings immediately with the first certified letter and to that to begin just send the agreed upon retainer. I told that firm what Pawuk and Pawuk suggested and they said if I want to evict and am not interested in them paying the rent through negotiations then that is a good idea and that we will move forward with that course of action. I said that I have to wait until I get my next paycheck to send that retainer. I used that time to more thoroughly research their reviews. All business is done by phone. I would never meet my representative or visit the office. I found they had numerous accusations of phone tag after services have been procured, a history of missed court appointments, and unresolved legal issues months after filings. I called back that Tampa firm and said my brother has hired another firm unbeknownst to me. I hired Pawuk and Pawuk. I have physically met my attorney and have been to his office. Daniel Pawuk is the legal counselor who originally had the good idea the other firm admired. When I call there is no continuous " phone tag". When I get a voicemail because he is in court I have gotten a call back before the end of business day. Now those problem tenants are in my rear view mirror. History. I recommend Pawuk and Pawuk because I got what I paid for. I work very hard for a living. I chose competent and professional over a bargain basement price with services rife with " phone tag" and excuses. Sincerely, Alexis M. Morano Jr.

0/10 do NOT recommend. Make sure to check Yelp and Avvo not just google like I did. I was fooled…read morethat's for sure. We didn't even make it to mediation and I'm already 10k deep. Howard Ellzey was my attorney, upon reviewing the contract there's a section on there that says "Retainer Fees" make sure you clearly understand what this is saying, they are taking a extra $950 from you upon paying the 6k retainer fee. He words it in a way to be deceitful. He sat on my retainer for 14 days, I had two days left to reply to the petition or i would of defaulted on my case. Had i not called and left a voice mail for him on day 18 then who knows what would of happened. He made it seem in the consult he would be right on it. He then is not up front in emails and you wind up sending 5-12 messages back and forth to see what he really needs from you. He will charge for those as well. He will also charge for emails he clearly states in the bottom " I am not charging you for the time it took to reply to this email". I did bring these discrepancies and many others up with him and he told me they made no sense to him. He will also chalk it up as "more than usual amount of emails" but again, he sends unnecessary emails. Then tried to send me a new invoice for $1,700+ more because I brought these things up to him. This is what you call intimidation at its finest. He can be very condescending as well. After paying 10k to not even make it to mediation my mind is blown. Taking full advantage of a single mother of two in a time of distress. He will also sit on any paper work then make you feel rushed to redo all of it & send it over organized, because i guess the amount i paid didn't cover him organizing the paper work. not even two months on retainer and i still haven't made it to mediation why? because Howard refused to set a date with the opposing party. I strongly urge others to think twice before hiring this individual. Legal representation should bring clarity and confidence, not confusion and distrust. If you're in a vulnerable situation, particularly involving family law or custody matters, this is not the kind of advocate you want on your side.
