This place is horrible. They won't answer phone so if you do need help…read more. forget it they will find every way possible to deny you help. The protocol how they treat seniors suck too. The Online site is ok but there are issues and no one will help. If you need help find somewhere else. They aren't compassionate at all and will just deny help anyway. Why do we pay taxes if we can't get help when needed? This place is ridiculous. So many people need jobs right now including myself that could treat people with dignity and respect. This one in Daly City actually have a new schedule every month to show all their workshops like writing your resume, introduction to computer, email, excel, word and powerpoint, how to ace a phone interview, etc. They also have special programs/workshop for youth (14-21) and job seekers that are Age 55+. You can also use their computer to go online(job searching only). While these are not to my advantage at all... I think they are very good resources for some people in need of help. well I have not been to the workshops and I can't comment on how good they are, but I did make use of their drop-in career counseling 1:30pm to 3:30pm tue to thurs, first come first serve - call to make sure the schedule stays the same). It's a one on one feedback on your resume and interviewing skills + receive job search tips. Mainly I would like someone to look through my resume. I was worried about format and grammar and just want some opinions. He was professional and give me some pointers on the resume... and answered any questions I had. Like I said I did not have high expectation so I really appreciate the help. The receptionist was really nice and helpful also... I am really glad I went.

First off, I had to deal with a meeting where they retold me of things I knew already like sending my resume. They couldn't answer my question if sending my resume online was better than written resumes. I didn't come out of that Youth Meeting any closer to getting a job. I did finish a application, and got a card, but thinking they would set up interviews with us to talk about it. They kinda got lazy and just sent emails about job offers. Coming back over there, was a disaster as the front desk woman was kinda rude. I know she was a bit busy, but take a chill pill. The only good thing about that place is that you can use your card to get on the computer for 3 hours. I have to do note that, the Internet goes down often, it's totally sucks when you're doing long ass applications online!!!! ARGGH!!!!! I wish I can throw the computer away and beat it with a bat like Office Space. Not only that, but the long waits downstairs to get social services. It's takes nearly 40 before you see a Agent to look at your case sometimes. The copy machine is no longer in use for us. The 'Day Care' is just a closet room with a television. The oddest thing about it, they make you answer the black phone sometimes on the wall to talk with your agent as if you're in prison!?!? What the hell? It's nice to talk person to person about my case rather than a phone call from the back. You have to get finger print, and photo taken to even use the services. Another thing, they block off the parking to everybody do to the fact that people from DMV park there. Excuse me, isn't that what your security guard pay for?! He stand outside doing nothing, at less he can see who coming in and who's not if you use the guy, right. Reaching the end of my contracting position, the admin staff/receptionists were still kind and helpful. It was highly likely that my birthdate was entered incorrectly during the on boarding process so I was unable to access my account for my W2. Micayla was able to help me make the changes right then and there. Aerotek is definitely helps facilitate the process for entry-level experienced workers.
