This place had the right look, and is one of the few places in Reims found on LeFooding. Wines by the glass are "blind", so you pick a color and get a wine. My companion and I each chose red, and were served a very small glass of wine. We were later told it was a Czech wine, but weren't able to actually look at the bottle, which kind of defeats the purpose of, I don't know, trying to find a wine or grape another time? Service is achingly slow, and awkward. Multiple people coming to drop off silverware, but I had to find my own menu. We wanted a simple apero, and ordered a cheese plate, which is described as having 5 cheeses. The smallest cheese plate I've ever seen - 17 euros - and served on a bread plate. I've seen pats of butter on toast bigger than these cheeses. It took almost 30 minutes for the cheese matchsticks to arrive. Since this made us very cranky we kept a close eye on the rest of the tables. Our neighbors ordered the same cheese plate, with what looked like a lot more cheese, but still ridiculously small. Not clear if this is a bobo place for tourists, and thus, they get you once and you won't ever come back. But either way, we won't be back. She spoke zero English, but was incredibly welcoming and kind. She seemed almost giddy (by French standards) to have tourists in her coffee shop, so I got the feeling this was a very locals-only type place.    We ordered cappuccinos and a "baked fresh today" chocolate chip cookie that looked too irresistible to pass up.    Now, France isn't exactly known for their espresso, and these cappuccinos admittedly weren't very good. They were hot, but that's about it. The cookie didn't fare much better, it wasn't very sweet but did taste nice and fresh. You could really taste the fresh butter and quality ingredients.    This is a very tiny little coffee shop, and we sat at a communal table in the window with a lovely local couple who also didn't speak English (or look, they at least pretended not to, LOL). Although I didn't love the coffee or treats, the cozy atmosphere was absolutely perfect, especially on a cold and rainy afternoon in Reims. It also felt really good to support a small local business.

It was the day before Easter and I was delighted that the bakery had pretty decorated Easter cakes and cupcakes. Have a look at the photos to see how cute they are! The two women working there were friendly and welcoming. They explained to us what the different flavors and fillings were on the assortment of pastries. We bought a whole variety box of baked goods and every single one was super good! The prices were reasonable, too. I highly recommend this bakery!
