The owner and one of his workers came the next morning and told me they were surprised what I'd done hadn't fixed the issue. Even so they replaced the new valve washers just to be sure and reinstalled the seats with teflon tape and tested it out. Sure enough, they had the issue fixed quickly and didn't make a mess doing it. They charges me their minimum hour which honestly I thought was not only reasonable but fair especially given the weather that day.

The inspector said it would not have passed inspection if they did not come back out. That one employee is really making this company look bad. They are a septic tank company, that we called out for one of our rentals, they went out pumped out the tank and 4 days later we still have a problem. We called them back out and the owner of the company said, "Well we only pumped out liquids not solids because you didn't tell us to pump out both." That was the most ridiculous statement I believe I have heard! So this company had 2 payments a $400 each for something that should have been done correctly the first time. We had to call a different plumbing company out, that has now fixed our problem for our house.
