Hoping to have my family member purchase some bullion for me which I usually spend a good amount to stock up for investment or resell But the gentlemen I spoke with was very short. I was trying to ask about certain ones so that I could tell my family member which ones I would like to buy an to compare the pricing from Cali to Florida. The gentlemen replied to me that he would NOT go through all that and break down the pricing of gold coins I was looking for witch was only 4 different denominations So I told him I would not waste his time anymore as I was speaking, he hung up on me. The woman met me in the middle of the show room floor, it was obvious that she didn't have a place for me. I was standing in the middle of the showroom floor, trying to discuss how I did, or did not want my bracelet, or my watch sized, until she determined what she felt that it should be, she literally took my jewelry from my hands, and took them to the front desk. I continue to try to reach for my bracelets, my watch band sizing ad she was at the register where she took my belongings and engaged with cashier and other clients. At NO time did she excuse herself, or explain. She determined standing in the middle of the floor the sizes, she went into a loooong explanation about the clasp on my Seiko. (Not giving me a breath to ask if it could be replaced) I left a fair rating of my experience and I then find my review is yet blaming me and ALL reviews I've left POST HURRICANE MICHAEL. That's the excuse? How my perception of purchasing, repairing, food, healthcare, auto care.... Trust my reviews. This is my beloved hometown I don't bad review any company or service that doesn't deserve it. July, 10 years ago,I entrusted…read moremy vintage Rolex Submariner watch to David Scott Fine Jewelry in Panama City to be repaired. The watch was sent to his "authorized Rolex repair center ". While the watch was at the repair center, DSFJ called me and said the dial had to be "refinished because water and oil had gotten onto the dial". I agreed to the repair, the watch came back in October, it looked great (to the naked eye) and I strapped it on and got on with life. Cut to the present, almost 10 years to the day, the watch bracelet needed to be repaired/replaced and I took it to an authorized Rolex dealer. The jeweler took one look at the watch, declared the dial to be "non authentic" and refused to work on it. When I questioned the jeweler he showed me the issues with his jeweler's loupe and magnification equipment. The dial is an absolute mess (pics attached). The lettering is smeared and unreadable in places. I have talked with several jewelers and high-end watch repair centers about the dial and they agree, while the dial is likely original, it is ruined. If you've read this far. . . forward to this morning, I took the watch and the enlarged pics of the dial back to David Scott Fine Jewelry, not expecting a refund after 10 years, but hoping for a little help (maybe splitting the cost) on replacing the dial their "authorized Rolex service center" ruined, at the very least to point out the poor quality work done under their business name. I have to say I have never been treated so rudely as I was this morning by Mrs. David Scott, who told me in no uncertain terms that there would be no help coming and our business was finished before she walked away back to her office. So, I leave this here. Here are the pics of the dial, I have more. Draw your own conclusion. I DO NOT RECOMMEND LETTING THIS BUSINESS WORK ON (or even touch) YOUR ROLEX. Actually, I don't recommend this business period. My Submariner is on its way to Dallas, TX to the certified Rolex repair center to clean up this mess (replacing the dial). I'll certainly never enter David Scott Fine Jewelry again.

I called ahead to see if they were still open and the owners and John and his wife Angela kept the shop open past close to help me fix it when they heard I was active duty. They even upgraded to piece that broke to something thicker to prevent it from breaking. When I tried to pay John just said "don't worry about it, pass it on" that will go down as one of the coolest interactions I've ever had with a small business. On Oct 28, 2025 I went in to sell Morgan silver dollars at C & B, spot price silver was $47.07 so times .7734 each Morgan should be at a value of $36.40 each. I only was given $27.00 each and was burned for about $100.00 on 12 silver dollars. James ripped me off plain and simple. I ask why only $27 per coin, he said because of the Chinese, which made no sense. I should have left right then but I got confused with the math, I'm getting old. As I drove home I slowly realized I was taken advantage of being elderly with memory deficit and that James just ripped me off. Do business there at your own risk.
