I'm a senior and my son thought he would do something nice for me by hiring this company to remove my snow for the 2021-2022 winter season. Well the first big snowfall we had was on a Monday. After a day my son contacted them to see when they expected to get to my house. After many excuses and lies they still had not showed up and I had to do it myself on Saturday morning. That's 5 days after the snow fall. Then the gaf the odasity to come past my house that evening, take a picture of what I did, send it to my son and claim they cleared it. Wow... nothing but lies and deception. They came only one other time....late, and when i wasn't home and left 2-3 feet of snow on each side of my driveway. I just decided to do it myself after that because I couldn't wait days to get my car out I would absolutely NOT recommend this company.....for any reason. read more

They are frauds. They are known as JD lawns/JD home &Lawn/ JD Reno/Northern Moon and so on. These are all the same people who give a new name to the business and do fraudulent acts on clients who don't know their past. They have no workers but more than 10 office staff, Don't know for what purpose. We had spent more than 30 thousand dollars behind their fake professionalism and it has left our beautiful property looking like a scrapyard. Working for last 6 months they did nothing and their professional workers left them due to their management. Jennifer and Barry are two so-called directors who approached us as managers later they become directors on one fine morning. Except for workers they have 4-5 directors who also change from time to time. If you don't find any contractors for work do yourself that would be better than paying this company. They may now reply that they will take legal action against us. My answer is "Bite me" . They take people money and disappear. They are only running business on people deposits or until they can extract money from customers then they fully disappear. No ethics, they have No proper tools no trained workers. Only trucks with their business name so they can show off in their beginning money extracting time that they are a company. it's a bunch of close family members who are their permanent crew most other people are always on first day of job or first week of job and then those people disappear, highly doubt they pay them either. They are doing this from sometimes now but surely soon enough they will be caught and face big trouble they are doing open fraud in the name of business. read more

I made a huge mistake in not researching this company's reviews before hiring for sod replacement! Read the reviews people!! They come in all happy and proud about their company but once you provide a deposit, the service goes straight downhill from there. Promised work dates and no shows. No one answers the phone or emails. If you do get a hold of someone, it's only excuses such as too much rain (maybe 2 drops at most), truck broke down, or short staffed. Once the workers do show up, they give a totally different answer for not showing up! Let's talk about equipment! For a landscaping company, my grandmother has better tools in her shed to do the job! On the 26th of August 2021 I signed a contract with JD Home Lawn for their services to install faucets at my new home.They quoted me an amount of CAD 680 +hst for labour (for a total of 7 faucets provided by me) any hardware they provided would cost me extra to which I agreed. An advance of CAD 380 was charged with a commitment of sending 2 plumbers the next morning to get the job done. Come the next day no plumber turned up, after umpteen number of calls, a plumber turned up at 4:30pm who didn't have a clue as to what was to be done. I got so frustrated that I called JD home lawn and asked them to refund my advance paid. To my horror I was told I was not entitled to a refund as their man did a complete day's job. The plumber who came to my home, Aaron(check back with him if the owner is reading this) . I have never been so blatantly robbed before in broad daylight and would like to warn you all out there don't touch this company even with a barge pole. I have put in a complaint with BBB who has taken the matter up with JD home lawn but they have not bothered to respond back. They do not deserve any star,but I don't have a choice with the rating.
