Doesn't look like much when you pull into the parking lot, but don't let that fool you. You order on one building, and eat in another. We had the Low Country Boil and boy did it have flavor! The atmosphere was that of a dive bar found at a beach, yet it fit this establishment perfectly. The only reason I didn't give it five stars is because their prices for water is a bit obscene. Yes, Yes, Yes! This place is still amazing! It's a huge step up from a lot of the franchised places like this opening up across the country. This is the real deal folks. So glad we came back and we will continue to do so. Crabs, Shrimp, Corn! All excellent! Everything is amazing spiced and this restaurant has a vibe that everyone talks to one another. This is one of the best seafood places in Aiken. Great flavor and great value. The low country boil can't be beat. We called in our order on a busy Saturday and it was done right on time. We got the spicy low country boil for four, 1 lb of shrimp and 1 lb of crab legs, and it was the perfect amount of food. Everything was cooked perfectly. This was my first time there. I was rather confused when I first walked in to order. My first thought was, do they even cook here? They cook and do it well. I indulged in a snow crab and medium shrimp boil. The boil had sausage, corn on the Cobb and potatoes. I went with the mild spice not knowing what to expect being that mild to mild plus in Thai is my limit. If I could have changed one thing it would have been to go with something a little more spicy. The mild was enough to give it flavor, but not enough for that spicy kick I was looking to experience. I found this place from high recommendations on Facebook. Pre-ordered 3 dozen of steamed crabs. As this is SC, I was not expecting a whole lot. Boy was I wrong, the crabs were huge, flavorful and still steaming when I got there. I felt like I walked into a Baltimore crab house! What a feeling and what a find! The only thing missing was an ice cold Natty Boh. The low country boil was as good as any I have had here. Did I mention huge chunks of sausage in the LCB?. The customer service was excellent. We are from Panama City, Fl visiting Aiken and felt like Seafood. (we don't get enough time to eat out at home, so..) This place was great, fresh and better than we've had in a long time at home! We went last weekend and got the base, added medium shrimp and crab legs to it and came home with a TON of left overs! Definitely need 4 people to tackle it. It was soooo good! Love JC's but was recently dissappointed when we ordered boiled crawfish. We asked if they can cook them in Zaterans and they said yes. When I ordered them I asked again if we could get them boiled in Zaterans, again yes. When we picked them up they didn't smell right and asked if they cooked them in Zaterans they said no, they don't use Zaterans they use their own mix. They were so heavily coated in their mix, they were not enjoyable at all. Sorry guys, next time just say no, we'll order something else. Our bad, we shouldn't have accepted them. Trying to find something healthy-ish for lunch on the road and picked this out of the way place. It's a legitimate seafood market that has a cafe shed beside it. Food was awesome, he altered the menu for what I was looking for and gave me a lower price than expected. My only regret was not having my cooler in the car so that I could have hit the market for fresh seafood to take home. read more

Best low country boil in the area. HANDS DOWN! I stopped by for lunch with some friends from work and ate until I couldn't! There were 5 or 6 of us and we all shared 2 orders of the low country boil with two orders of crab legs. It was plenty of food for us to share and nobody left wishing we had more. The food portions and quality are fantastic! The seating area is nice too with the space heaters and fans when it's cold out. I can't wait to go back to JC's! We were looking for a hole in the wall seafood spot in Aiken and this is it. Split a pound of scallops and a pound of large shrimp between two hungry men and it was fantastic with just the right amount of spice and the garlic butter was a real treat. I'm usually not a fan of boiled or steamed seafood but JC's changed my mind. You order in the market/kitchen building and eat next door in a covered screened in dining area with tables and picnic tables. I'm looking forward to my next trip to Aiken just for the seafood at JC's! read more

Ordered shrimp and crab legs today to go and was told my order would be ready in 30 minutes I arrived 45 minutes to make sure my order was ready and it was not. The girl said it would take 4-5 minutes more and that proved not to be true instead she waits on 4 people and then disappears! She was rude to my daughter when she asked why was the order taking so long her response "I didn't take the order"JC you won't have to worry about any more orders from me again there won't be any. read more

My wife and I went here Saturday April 29 2017 at about 6 p.m. Maybe we caught them on a bad night but it took is exactly one hour to get out Beaufort stew. When we did get it the shrimp we're over cooked and the potatoes were very under cooked. There was way too much old Bay spice on the food. The people here were nice enough but no one asked us how our meal was, apologized for the wait (we were originally told it would be about 20 minutes) or thanked us for our business.
