The reviews are accurate; this is a cozy place with great service and innovative regional food. The flavors are familiar but combined in a way I hadn't thought of, and surprisingly, they taste amazing. Each bite is rich with textures, flavors, and leaves a lasting aftereffect when you finish chewing.
The staff is very friendly and helpful, welcoming you with a piece of sourdough bread paired with purple corn masa (which I believe they make in-house), served alongside a rich but not spicy salsa.
For those used to big portions, you'll need to order more than one dish here. The portions are "normal/common in Mexico," so foreigners should be aware.
This place is worth a visit.
