I came in from the gym so I wasn't dressed in a tuxedo like the owner (white guy with glasses) would have wanted. Well!...I'm worth multiple 7 figures and this guy treated me like absolute dogshit. I was asking questions about a couple watches and he said " I'm going ti give you my card and when you decide what you want come back, he basically wrote me off and refused to answer basic questions because of the way I was dressed today. After searching in several stores and having a ring design picked out, my buddy Adam recommended that I go to JB and see what he had to offer Adam had already purchased an Engagement ring from JB. So he had experience dealing with this establishment, and of course, I trust his judgment. Needless to say, I went into the shop and everything went extremely smooth. Unbelievably, I received a better deal on a diamond and price. Once the engagement ring was made, JB texted me to come pick it up. I could not believe what I was seeing. The ring exceeded my expectations. Thankfully my fiance said yes! The best part about all of this is that she absolutely loves the ring. She showed her mother and her mother said to me "That is exactly the kind that she wanted. Did she send you a picture?" My fiance never told me or hinted towards what she wanted, she just told me "I'll leave it up to you. You always have good taste" With the help of JB and his recommendation, I knocked it out of the park. They have very nice looking stuff in the case, but not the specific earrings I was looking for. So JB brought out some loose diamonds and let me pick the setting from a catalog and had them ready for me in a few days. To boot, the price was lower than any other place we had looked. Before my wedding I wanted to have my engagement ring cleaned and have a tear in the gold repaired. I found Jb based on their location and Yelp reviews. Before going in I did some research to get an idea of what it would cost. We took in my ring and the estimate they gave us was very reasonable (even under most other estimates). It was late in the day so they told me I would need to leave the ring overnight but that it would be ready first thing in the morning. After reading people's horror stories about jewelers (not this specific business) swapping out diamonds I was apprehensive to leave it. I'm really glad I decided to go ahead with it. The next morning my ring was ready as promised. The repair job on the gold was done perfectly. They managed to get years of lotion (I know, I know) and grime off the ring and it sparkled and shined like the day I got it. I also asked for the prongs to be tightened which they were. When handing it back, the jeweler did a final inspection and noticed one of the tiny side diamonds must have been blown out when it was cleaned. It was replaced quickly and I was on my way! The work they did was great and I loved how fast I was able to get the work done. While I wasn't thrilled about the diamond falling out during cleaning, I did appreciate their honesty and attention to detail. It was such a tiny diamond that I probably wouldn't have noticed! I took a diamond ring to sell there last month and was pleasantly surprised to find that he offered me more than twice as much for it as a dealer I'd met in Atlanta offered me. I've subsequently brought in gold jewelry to sell to him as scrap gold and was again, pleasantly surprised. I was expecting enough money for a nice lunch, and instead got over $1000, just for a ziploc of old, broken jewelry. A couple of reviewers on other sites believe him to be cocky, but I'd say he's more blunt and honest than cocky.
