We stopped here for dinner before a comedy show and ordered the gobi manchurian, chicken chettinad, and of course garlic naan, and everything was so good. The staff were friendly and welcoming, which made the whole experience even better.

The food was good and is served fresh and they are quick with it. Certain dishes do take a little longer to make but they will clarify that with you from the beginning. The butter chicken and naan were really good and I forgot the name of the platter but there was a variety of different things to try in it which was really nice. I do think they should clarify that the water bottles on the table are different prices/you have to pay for them (there were 2 different water bottles). Personally, if they can't serve water/only serve water bottle due to city restrictions, I don't think it should be charged. But also it could be served cold vs room temperature.

But the half star is…read morejust for something off with the service...it wasn't bad, but I think it's probably just a cultural thing...it was a little rushed initially with the ordering process. My friend and I ordered an appetizer and also a naan that was not on the menu but that they had ordered before and they were able to make it - but not this time. Also while we were talking and maybe apparently taking too much time to order entrees the server seemed a little quick/abrupt with us to get our orders in, but also during/after our meal, just the feeling of being rushed but we didn't let that impact how much time we spent at the table. (Note, there were very few people dining and it was late afternoon/early evening, so not that they were trying to close)... Anyway, the Taj Special app was really good! YUMMY and also got the Kashmiri naan....WOW! ALL so good. Then after we finally ordered our entrees, and still munching on appetizers, entrees came out. Nice and hot. Butter chicken, which was super tasty... I was so excited about all my food, I forgot to take a photo and I have no idea what my friend ate LOL... Overall, I really enjoyed this place and will be back!

It was around 4:30 PM, so I wasn't sure they'd be open, but they were already serving, so I drove over. It's a new spot, open for about a month. The two ladies running the place were very attentive, and I happened to be the only customer around 5 PM. Normally, when I visit a restaurant like this, I order three or more dishes to sample a variety and enjoy the leftovers at home over the next few days. But since I won't be home until midnight tonight, I went with a single dish to test the waters: chicken tikka masala. I give that an A--flavorful and well-prepared. The rice was decent (I'm not a big fan of rice in general), so I'd rate it a B. The service was excellent, also an A. I even tried the rice pudding, which surprised me--I usually don't care for it, but theirs was genuinely enjoyable. Another A. The only downside: they don't have a tandoor oven yet, so the naan was the store-bought kind you'd find at an Indian grocery. It didn't quite match the quality of the entrée. I'd give that a C. Hopefully, they'll add a real tandoor to their kitchen soon. The ambience is typical medium sized family owned restaurant, but bright and easy. The toilet was also well lit, and clean. Overall, I'd definitely come back to try more dishes. Promising start for a new restaurant.
