Went with some friends in the off season and was busy right at five, as it one of the only spots open. Every interaction with service members was fantastic, they were kind and attentive. It has a mom and pop feel, where you'll likely seat yourself when it's slow, all prices are somewhat reasonable, seafood was obviously more expensive but I'd say it was pushing the reasonable side of things. I had the fried shrimp with green beans and white Mac and cheese. Shrimp was solid, and high quality. The green beans were good and thin. The Mac and cheese was fine but came out cold, which was confusing considering it was so busy, I don't know why food would be in the window for long periods. For the price and location everything was solid, but not necessarily great, I wouldn't return if there were other open options. Thought I did not have I hear the "Uncle Bunkle" was fantastic.

We had really good food and service on our visit. They absolutely LOADED our pizza toppings, the kids raved about it!

Our hotel clerk recommended this spot, and he was absolutely right! My son had a grilled cheese with fries, and my husband and I shared a pizza--everything was delicious and really hit the spot. The staff were super friendly and checked on us often. It has a charming beach diner vibe, great food, and even better people. No surprise it's a favorite among locals!

Chose for the Variety menu, best collards my husband has ever had in a restaurant! They were NC style. Bread was fresh, shrimp was great!

Hockey puck bread

The food was borderline inedible. But the waitstaff were fabulous. Ambiance was okay for a beach lunch.

What a chill place! From pizza to subs and the home made hush puppies which I highly recommend a dozen to start. I had the Italian sub. Large portions, good flavor. My wife had the small veggie pizza which was more like a medium at Dominoes! Again with the large portion size. She ate on it for breakfast the next day. My daughter had the fried chicken. Also a recommended dish. The waitress was fast and courteous as well as knowledgeable in the menu. Prices were good. Not over priced, after all, everything that comes to this island comes by ferry. When you're there, it's like you've stepped back in time. Enjoy the atmosphere the people and the fellowship. You will not regret it. This restaurant is a great place to pick up dinner and drive out on the beach to watch the sunset and the moon rise, all from the cab of your truck!

Nice place to eat at Ocracoke Island. Our server, Jimmy was very helpful. When I heard the soup of the day was Seafood Chowder, I asked if it was good, he brought me a cup of it to sample. Delicious! For our meal, I had the pulled pork sandwich and my husband had a Turkey sandwich-- both very good. Restaurant had a nice casual atmosphere with interesting local artwork. I plan on returning on our next visit to the island.

Supreme with red peppers instead of green. Delicious!

A fair fresh fish sandwich and good service. But not a place I'd feel compelled to return. A good menu for kids.

Craving Pizza on the Island? Sorella's is a Must-Try!…read more While visiting the island, I found myself in the mood for some good pizza, so I decided to check out Sorella's for dinner--and I'm so glad I did! With its reputation for hearty, flavor-packed dishes, it was the perfect spot to satisfy my cravings. What We Ordered: * BBQ Pizza * Big Daddy Pizza * Stromboli BBQ PIZZA This pizza was a savory-sweet masterpiece! The olive oil base paired beautifully with the barbecue chicken, caramelized onions, and smoky bacon. The addition of jalapeños brought the perfect kick, while the cheddar and mozzarella created a rich, melty layer of cheesy goodness. Topped with a barbecue swirl, every bite was packed with bold flavors that balanced sweetness and spice perfectly. It was a creative twist on classic pizza flavors, and it didn't disappoint. BIG DADDY PIZZA If you're a fan of the classics, this one's for you. The Big Daddy Pizza was piled high with red sauce, beef, sausage, pepperoni, green peppers, red onions, mushrooms, and mozzarella cheese. Each ingredient brought something special to the table: the meats were perfectly seasoned, the vegetables added a satisfying crunch, and the mozzarella held it all together with a gooey, cheesy blanket. This pizza is a hearty, crowd-pleasing option for anyone who loves a fully loaded slice. STROMBOLI This was the showstopper for me! Stuffed with red sauce, pepperoni, sausage, green peppers, red onions, mushrooms, and mozzarella, the Stromboli was simply heavenly. The crust was golden and perfectly baked, with just the right balance of crispness and chewiness. The filling was indulgent, packed with meat and cheese, making it a dream for any meat lover. Every bite felt comforting and decadent--a must-try if you visit Sorella's. We opted for takeout and enjoyed our meal during a cozy movie night at our rental. The pizzas and Stromboli held up beautifully, still warm and fresh when we dug in. Sorella's proved to be the perfect blend of convenience and quality for a relaxed evening in. Sorella's nailed it on every level--flavor, portion sizes, and variety. Whether you're in the mood for a creative take on pizza like the BBQ Pizza, a classic loaded option like the Big Daddy, or the indulgent Stromboli, you're bound to find something to love here. If you're ever on the island and craving pizza, Sorella's is the place to go. I'll definitely be back for more!

I highly recommend Dajio Restaurant. The meal was excellent. I had the blackened ahi on a salad. It was fresh and perfectly cooked. There's a decent but minimal selection of wines by the glass, and I went with a Sauvignon Blanc that paired perfectly. Most of the wines have good ratings by the major wine reviewers. Service was outstanding. The server had that classic beach-town ease (local or seasonal) but really knew the menu and did a great job. At one point, a woman who appeared to be management stopped by the table to check in. When she asked how things were, my answer was simple: "Incredible." The atmosphere is exactly right, relaxed but still polished, with just the right amount of energy without feeling crowded or chaotic. That balance is harder to get right than people think, and they've nailed it. I don't hand out compliments lightly, but this place delivers. Simple, fresh food, executed properly. No gimmicks, no shortcuts. This is absolutely a place you should try if you're in Ocracoke. I'll be back.

We came early for apps and drinks and were considering if we wanted to stay for our dinner meal too since the menu looked fantastic (and the ragu was eyeing me down!). It was surprisingly incredibly quiet with only a few of the porch tables taken, so we didn't feel like we were holding anyone up since it was quiet and early. While we were deciding on dinner, the waitress approached us and asked if we made our minds up. When saying we needed a minute but wanted to start with rolls and cocktails, she said, "well can I take your menus then? Or one?" Which felt odd given there weren't many people there at all and we still wanted to decide what apps a dinner to order. Otherwise, she hadn't checked back on us for another 30 minutes after ordering drinks and bread to start, so feeling like a nuisance, and we decided not to get dinner here anymore and we'd go elsewhere. Then, trying to wave the waitress down felt impossible almost as though she was avoiding our table, we had to ask another server for her to grab our check. Otherwise, the outside porch was perfect and shady with fans and airflow for a hot summer day. Very homey! The house made bread was absolutely fantastic. The French 75 was heavy handed on the gin, which can be both good and bad depending how you look at it! Worth the money for us!

Whether she was having a bad day or simply hates her job, she made it very clear we weren't welcome. She rushed us through ordering, cut us off mid-sentence, and didn't even give us a chance to order a drink for our son. When she brought out the pretzel, she announced, "This is the hottest plate, don't touch," then set it directly in front of our 1.5-year-old--same careless move when the pizzas arrived. She checked on us only once, and otherwise acted as if serving us was an irritation. The restaurant wasn't even crowded, so there was no excuse. Food: * Pizzas had decent toppings, but for $23 a 16" pie shouldn't have two inches of bare crust around the edge. The dough was soft and flat, more like microwaved DiGiorno than fresh pizza. * Pretzel was decent. * Truffle fries tasted fine but arrived lukewarm. Overall, the food was mediocre, but the service was so unpleasant it ruined the entire experience. We will not be returning.
