My husband and I came here on Saturday for date night and did the Dil Se experience and overall it was great but definitely some feedback. The food was EXCELLENT. It was timed well and love that we got to enjoy a bit of each region. We will definitely come back with family and then would also love to try the à la carte menu. The lamb dish was my absolute fave. Service was good BUT, this deducted one star. We ordered a bottle of champagne and it was kept away from us so we couldn't reach it. Normally that's not an issue however every time we needed it refilled no one was available to refill it and we had to flag someone down. The other option was getting up and getting it myself but that would've been awkward and probably disruptive. When the total is coming out to a total of $600, I do expect the service to be exceptional, not just good. Also - while it's so clear that the chef has a genuine love for this restaurant and his vision, having him speak in between each course was a bit disruptive to the dining experience. Every time my husband and I would be having a conversation the chef would stand up and give a speech about the inspiration behind the dish and how to eat it. Again, appreciate the passion but this was too much. I would recommend one speech at the beginning and then giving a menu upon being seated and including 1-2 lines as a description with each dish that would capture this information. Overall none of this would make me not come back, but definitely some things that would've made the experience better.

We came for the Rajasthani pop up and enjoyed the spread. It was the first time we came to this restaurant and were pleasantly surprised with the ambiance, decor and overall atmosphere. It definitely spoke upscale. It was the small attention to details that really made the feel more appealing. From the etched lettering on the glass, to the elevated placement of the silverware, to the custom imprint on the ice cubes... all were superb! Our server John, was super fabulous! He was friendly, knew the menu, and was attentive and available whenever needed. We opted for the Rajasthani menu, prepared by Chef Aksraj, who personally came to our table and greeted us and also talked about the menu. *A nice little touch We got the Chat, Paneer Sooley, Dal Bati Churma and Lal Maans w Bajra Roti. And ended w Gevar and Moong Dal Halwa. The chat was perfect, crispy, sweet, and fun to eat! The paneer however was a little disappointing- it much to it- a slab that was fried w masala on both sides... However I truly enjoyed the Daal Bati/Churma, it was the perfect portion and rates were great! The Bati was unique- it was soft inside with a crunchy outside and it blended well with the Dall which was a great mix! The Churma was perfectly "sandy" and sweet- this whole thing worked so well. My husband enjoyed the Laal Maans- the meat was tender and the curry was pasty but not runny. They were true spices and we know there was no added color bc his fingers were not stained! He did wish it was a bit more spicer but loved the bajra roti with it- said it was an authentic as it could get! The deserts were good as well- my favorite was the Gevar- it was light, flaky, sweet and crunchy! The mails I was creamy- I just wish it was bigger! The moong dal halwa was a bit disappointing- I felt it was microwaved and somehow the flavors felt like the get burnt- so definitely not my favorite! The drinks were also great- their take on the old fashioned was nice twist with the kesar! All in all a cool experience- a bit pricey but worth it for a more elegant feel.

    Table decor...real lamp!

Had dinner her Friday night and really liked the restaurant. It has a ton of seating space, some intimate, and some in a semi-outdoors setting which is pretty cool. The food was good too. We got the dahi kebab and mutton gilawati kebab for starters and butter chicken with tandoori roti and Hyderabad mutton biryani for mains. The biryani came with chutneys and raita, which was great. Nothing was overly spicy. All the dishes were served with care and service was great.

NYE 2026 celebration's at Jashan. We had a most memorable ushering of the New Year 2026 @ Jashan ! The dinner cuisine was Indian , with a few dishes from neighbouring countries and served as a 7 course meal. Each dish better than its predecessor and made so tastefully and plated accordingly. We were swooning with every bite The evening entertainment was Qawwali. We were all so thrilled and mesmerized by the performance. To ring in the new year, the dining space was converted to a dance floor with psychedelic lights and all and we all danced to the Bollywood old and latest hit songs! Service as usual was spot on for an impeccable dinner and all around the customers were treated in luxury and top class service. 3 Cheers to Prasanna Singiraju, his wife Poornima and to entire staff at Jashan who made this NYE truly memorable and a very Happy New Year to them as well!

My family and I came here during thanksgiving. The food was disappointing and over priced. The chaat was wonderful. The service was slow and they forgot to put in our main course for over 40 minutes. When our food came, it was cold. My waiter also dropped a fork on me. The restaurant itself was freezing. The tables, chairs, and many of the plates were not well thought out for the space. It was really lovely to meet the owner and his wife. Hoping that they will be able to figure out those dishes, prices, and the restaurant mechanics soon!

Loved their restaurant name " JASHAN " which means CELEBRATION it was very appropriate for me to choose this restaurant which has been recently opened to celebrate my 50th Birthday here.... Yes finally I made it to the !!!! GOLDEN GIRLS ERA !!!!! This find was made by my husband so all kudos goes to him to suggest it .... We had a 6 pm reservation but we reached almost half an hour early , they were prepping for the evening but Prasanna graciously greeted us & seated us near the bar area while our table was getting ready we were offered sparkling water to start our evening experience ... We were seated within few minutes our server for the evening was James who was exceptional went way beyond to make us satisfied & wonderful to talk to he kept us engaged throughout the evening. It was fun to go through the names in the menu finally we decided to go for their tasting menu. I chose non veg & my husband went for veg.... But after talking with Prasanna & chef Ashish Bhasin they decided they will choose for us we knew we were going to have a wonderful experience..... We started off with few cocktails old fashioned & smoke mezcal it was made beautifully all the flavors in the drink went very well this set the mood for our dinner. The wine sommelier came & introduced himself to us also took very good care of us started with a beautiful glass of champagne which went very well with the appetizer also later during the course every wine wether it was white or red it complemented the dishes very well including the dessert port wine. He took care of our palette very well... I was presently surprised with the white wine he brought which went so well with the dark meats fantastic job done by him. We both got Shiso Patta Chaat & soups Rasam (tomato) & Chicken Shorba to start with... Our appetizer platter arrived which was beautifully explained by the staff... My non veg platter had lamb chops, seekh kebab, Kerala style prawns & raw turmeric chicken this was so delicious so soft just melted in my mouth this is Prasanna mom's recipe I am so glad he chose this dish to be in their menu. Everything was perfectly spiced , amazing flavors but turmeric chicken won my heart . I was so busy enjoying the platter that I forgot taking pic ... well I realized it much later ... Veg platter had Nizami Paneer, Mushroom Galawat, Dahi Kabob each & every bite was an amazing experience , perfectly balanced spiced & flavor profile was bang on. They also served us mango sorbet as a palette cleanser before our main course. For our main course we got in veg - Al E Gashan, Bhindi do pyaaza , paneer & green bell peppers, saag with burata cheese , Dal Makhani & veg biryani. Non veg - Fish Pulusu, Butter Chicken, Ghost Nihari , chicken curry & Dal Makhani with assorted breads (roti) & Basmati rice to go with fish Pulusu & Chicken Dum Biryani . Again everything dish had a distinct taste & flavors we were enjoying every morsel. I thoroughly enjoyed Ghost Nihari very tender & succulent pieces of meat this was my most favorite. Since we were full James thoughtfully packed all the leftovers even if it was only few bites left... we were very touched by it... We were overstuffed by the time they brought our desert Ras Malia we were thinking to just have 1 spoon & leave the rest... after tasting we couldn't resist it was so light we finished the entire bowl... till then Poornima (owner's wife & beautiful host) brings us Jalebi which was fresh & hot along with Rabadi (desert) we were completely spoiled by them... It followed with a beautiful Chocolate Cake on the house... We both tasted each dish which came on the table whether it was veg or non veg it did not disappoint us in any way every dish reminded us of a specific region/place from where it came from.... Everyone from the staff who was going to take care of us came & introduced themselves including the wine sommelier , all the chefs, Prasanna & his best half his wife Poornima who was so gracious everyone wished me that was such a sweet gesture . James handed me a Birthday Card which was signed by everyone & specifically said it's my 21st Birthday that made my evening!!!!! We had a fantastic experience at Jashan can't wait to try their delicious dishes from their menu & also want to experience their Omakase style tasting in the near future.... You can see the difference in which they operate everyone is a part of Jashan, you can see the effort put in by each & every member of their staff... they are taking us through a food adventure.. Ambience was very nice . Nicely decorated & enough space between seats. We are eagerly waiting to comeback here for an exciting & amazing food adventure with our friends.

The restaurant aspires to the language of "fine dining," yet what arrives at the table feels more like a carefully curated narrative of luxury than a true elevation of Indian cuisine. Technique is competent, plating is meticulous, and the vocabulary of refinement is present -- but the substance never quite justifies the ambition. One senses that the pricing structure is calibrated less to craftsmanship and more to perception, trading on rarity rather than revelation. Service, commendably, is poised and considerate, operating with the quiet professionalism one expects at this level. The dining room, however, undercuts the experience: seating along the bay windows offers an uncomfortably public stage, transforming guests into spectators of themselves rather than participants in an intimate meal. In the end, the experience leaves a lingering question about what "fine dining" means in this context -- whether it is a genuine culinary pursuit or simply a polished veneer. Discerning diners would be wise to approach with curiosity, but tempered expectations.Caveat emptor.

'DIL SE' - An exquisite 13 course INDIAN FINE DINING CULINARY EXPERIENCE fit for Royalty ("Dastarkhaan-e-Khaas") - inspired by the JAPANESE 'OMAKASE' and 'KAISEKI' traditions at the JASHAN INDIAN FINE DINING RESTAURANT in Plano, Texas.....Check it out! Japanese fine dining is anchored by two revered traditions--'OMAKASE' and 'KAISEKI' - each reflecting a deep philosophy of trust, seasonality, craftsmanship, and respect for nature. "OMAKASE', which translates to "I leave it up to you," is most commonly associated with sushi counters, where the diner places complete faith in the chef's expertise. Rather than ordering from a menu, guests embark on a chef-curated progression of dishes, often shaped in real time based on the day's freshest fish, the guest's reactions, and the chef's creative intuition. The experience is intimate, minimalist, and deeply personal, emphasizing precision, restraint, and the quiet mastery of technique. At its best, omakase feels like a dialogue between chef and diner--one bite at a time. 'KAISEKI', by contrast, is a more formal and ceremonial expression of Japanese haute cuisine, with roots in the tea ceremony and Zen aesthetics. It is a meticulously structured, multi-course meal designed to reflect the rhythm of the seasons, harmony of flavors, balance of textures, and visual beauty of presentation. Every element--from the sequence of dishes to the choice of ceramics and garnishes--is intentional. Kaiseki is not about indulgence in excess, but about refinement and mindfulness: subtle broths, delicate sashimi, seasonal vegetables, grilled or simmered courses, and a gentle closing dish come together as a poetic narrative of time and place. I was indeed fortunate to have experienced an extraordinary 'OMAKASE' and 'KAISEKI' in TOKYO, a couple of years back at the GRAND PRINCE HOTEL SHIN TAKANAWA by celebrity chef YAHSUHIRO MATSUSHITA which has been etched in my 'mind's eye' and one that I look forward to experiencing all over again in KYOTO and HIROSHIMA when we return to JAPAN! Together, 'OMAKASE' and 'KAISEKI' represent two sides of the same philosophical coin. Omakase celebrates spontaneity, trust, and the chef's moment-to-moment judgment, while kaiseki embodies structure, tradition, and aesthetic discipline. Both elevate dining into an art form--one that honors ingredients at their peak, values humility over spectacle, and transforms a meal into an immersive cultural experience. In an age of globalized fine dining, these Japanese traditions remain timeless benchmarks of culinary purity and intentionality. Can you even imagine 'OMAKASE' and 'KAISEKI' applied to an INDIAN FINE DINING Culinary Experience? While hard to fathom, this is precisely what IT Entrepreneur turned Restauranteur-Chef PRASANNA SINGARAJU has accomplished with 'DIL SE' at the newly opened 'JASHAN' in Legacy North, in Plano, TX. SINGARAJU and executive chef RAMESH THANGARAJ offer a 13 course carefully curated INDIAN MUGHLAI fine dining experience complete with culinary infotainment over a 2.5 - 3 hours at their 'CHEF's TABLE', that celebrates the advent and the influence of MUGHLAI cuisine from LUCKNOW and HYDERABAD, with South-Indian embellishments and accents that is novel and is arguably, the finest your money can buy in the DFW Metroplex. At $ 150 per head, it is fairly exclusive and one that you want to reserve for very special occasions...but it is an experience you will cherish for a long, long time. Go ahead, experience the 'DIL SE' OMAKASE and KAISEKI DESI 'DASTARKHAN-E-KHAS' experience fit for royalty on your "JASHAN' (celebration) and let me know your thoughts. Experience the pinnacle of Indian fine dining, where every bite is a testament to the transformative power of flavor. My palate was elevated by the intricate details and spice, and I highly recommend exploring the 7-course non-vegetarian menu that I had the pleasure of savoring. #JashaninPlanoTX

Jashan is the kind of upscale Indian restaurant that the DFW area has been missing. For those who aren't familiar, they offer three types of dining experiences: à la carte, a 7-course tasting menu, and Dil Se--their 13-course Omakase-style experience. A quick note for anyone booking on Resy: the Dil Se option shows up as the 7pm slot under the tasting menu, which can be confusing. We actually didn't know about the Dil Se Omakase until Asher texted us and offered an upgrade due to a cancellation. Since it was my husband's birthday, we decided to go for it--and I'm so glad we did. Be warned, this is a 2.5-3 hour experience, so it's not for anyone in a rush. And I say experience intentionally. Owner/Chef Prasanna personally presents each course, shares the food history behind it, and explains the thought process behind every flavor, texture, and presentation. The menu beautifully blends family recipes with modern ideas, and every dish feels intentional. The hospitality was unbelievable. They surprised my husband with an eggless chocolate cake topped with fresh strawberries--courtesy of their amazing pastry chef Ms. Batra --and it was to die for. We chose the non-veg Omakase, and Chef Prasanna was so attentive that when he noticed I don't like crab, he immediately brought out the paneer version for me to try instead. Even the mocktails impressed. I ordered the curry leaf gimlet, which was refreshing with just a hint of sweetness--perfect for someone like me who doesn't enjoy overly sweet drinks. From the amuse-bouche to the desserts, everything was a party in my mouth. My personal favorite was the barramundi with mango pickle butter. And the fresh-to-order jalebi? Outstanding. Chef Prasanna also had us sample the à la carte dal makhani, and it genuinely rivals Bukhara's in Delhi. And when I say sample... he brought out an entire additional meal! If you're in a hurry or prefer to eat quickly, this may not be the place for you. But if you love savoring each bite and truly enjoy the art of food, please give them a try. This was a 5-star-plus experience for us. We will definitely be back to explore more of the menu.

Easily one of the best meals I've ever had! Fine Indian dining, each bite of the 13-course meal was carefully curated. Food was visually a feast as well as having incredible flavor, texture and balance. I will definitely keep Jashan on my list of places for special celebrations and meaningful meals.

What a delightful experience for dinner! A unique twist to high end Indian food. We treated ourselves to the tasting menu which was accompanied by mesmerizing stories of the owners own childhood and food that speaks to his soul. Each bite was bursting with new and traditional spices and flavor. It was soft open so I'll only speak to food and service, both of which were remarkable. We felt like family! Best wishes on your new adventure!

Simply amazing. Thirty minutes into my night at Jashan and I was already making a list of people I want to bring with me on my next visit. Meals can be delicious, experiences can be memorable. But when you stumble upon a place you're eager to share with people you care about...that's a different kind of special.

If you really know Indian food, you know there are levels to this. Most places serve what I lovingly call Campbell's Soup Tikka Masala. Super sweet, neon red, one note, wrong color, wrong consistency. Basically tomato soup with sugar and turmeric pretending to be a masala. It fills you up, but it doesn't make you pause and savor anything. Spice Grove Indian Cuisine is not that place. This is the real deal. The flavors are layered, balanced, and clearly cooked with intention. Not overly sweet, not dumbed down, just full of garlic, spice, depth, and that unmistakable "this was done right" feeling you get when Indian food is executed properly. We ordered a spread, saag, tikka masala, butter chicken, korma, vindaloo, garlic naan, and honestly there wasn't a weak dish on the table. Everything had the right color, the right texture, and the right punch of flavor. This is food you slow down for. I won't say this is the single best Indian food I've ever had, I reserve that for a few heavy hitters like Dishoom and Brigadiers in London and Chola in New York City. But if those are 10s, this is a very solid 8.5, and that is high praise. They're busy for a reason. You cannot go wrong here. The Dosa was perfectly crispy, the Mutton Curry was flavorful, the meat was tender and juicy, and the chutneys were a perfect pairing for the crispy dosa. - Ambur Chicken Biryani : perfectly spiced, the chicken was tender, portion size was huge (enough to easily feed two people) Rating: 10 out of 10 Customer Service: they were very nice and checked up on us regularly without being a pest. Can't fault their service. Rating: 9 out of 10

I have to warn fellow ladies under no circumstances to use the bathroom in this location for two reasons: The bathroom has multiple stalls but is not marked for either gender, and the main door can't be locked from inside making it accessible for male and female individuals at the same time. What I noticed in one of the stalls was a sensor flush that was completely out of the wall with wires exposed but still connected, yet the button did nothing and conveniently the unit was placed in a way facing the toilet bowl. An exposed electronic unit like that can be tampered with by any individual specially if the bathroom is accessible by both male and female. You can guess the rest of it yourself. Back to the kitchen, I had ordered paneer biryani along with Irani chai, before using the bathroom, the food took about 30 minutes to arrive, and I was served Pulao instead of Biryani. Even after asking the staff, they firmly said no that's Biryani. If you are non-Indian and don't want your intelligence to be insulted do not visit this restaurant. Once I received my food one of the staff told me the chai will arrive in 2 minutes. Well you guessed it right, I never got my chai. Even though the restaurant is open until 11:30 pm, the staff stop serving chai somewhere between 10-10:30 and even though they had an order in place, they failed to communicate effectively to deliver what was on the order. I finished eating and before leaving I wanted to wash my hand but since the store closes an hour before the restaurant, the bathroom is inaccessible and there's no hand washing station in the restaurant itself, so I used the only two pieces of napkin that were available in the restaurant. Food was tasty but wasn't what I ordered, over all the experience in general was so bad I wouldn't return, nor would recommend this place to anyone.

The woman informed us there are no snacks/appetizers served during lunch. We ordered samosas, two entrees and two naan for two adults and two growing boys (ages 7 and 11) and it was enough food. They even gave us paper plates for sharing without asking which was nice.
