Our expectations were high, in no small part because of the giant, fragrant wood-fired oven on the ground floor. Stylish logo, lovely property, everyone very nice. We hadn't had pizza for a couple of months so we were READY. That pizza was not what we were ready for. Despite the 800 degree oven downstairs it arrived lukewarm. The cheese tasted like asadero or something. The sauce like a jar of Ragu. And then there was the crust. What a letdown. Like cardboard, with no hint of the wonderful aromas that we'd smelled on our way in. WTH happened??? We are so bummed.
