I love the variety of yoga classes offered at the studio- from rest restorative classes to more active workout yoga classes. I love that they offer different services right at the studio to support you throughout your pregnancy too, such as pelvic floor physiotherapy and prenatal massages. The studio itself is beautiful and they have a friendly community. All the instructors thoughtfully plan out their classes and I am impressed every time. Let's start with what didn't work: fad diets, gym memberships, running/jogging,…read morecardio/weightlifting, fasting and the list continues! Let's switch to what did work: Metabolic Balance and Nancy Este's coaching! I noticed that when I was in my 40's that my weight creeped up continuously until I was in my 50's. NOTHING worked and I tried everything. Even my doctor was of no assistance and suggested I walk more to lose the weight. I was feeling tired and sick all the time, and my energy level and concentration was lacking daily. I was desperate to try something - ANYTHING and I knew no one would be helping me but ME. So, I went online to research what else I could do to help myself. I came across Metabolic Balance and found Nancy online. I read reviews and had a candid conversation with her before I considered starting. She informed me that this was not a cookie-cutter, off the shelf treatment. It was a tailored health program dictated by my bloodwork, my lifestyle and my status (i.e. health, age, activity level, etc.). WOW, now I am intrigued! I started right at the worst time ever - November 2023. Right before 4 family birthdays, corporate holiday parties, Christmas dinners and a week tradeshow in Las Vegas. I set myself up for failure and did not expect to be too successful. Was I WRONG! In the 3 months I worked with Nance to develop an eating plan that worked (and travelled), I saw the weight come off and felt better than I ever had in years! The True Test: was this another fad diet or a sustainable change that would last? Good News - over a year later and I am still able to lose and maintain the weight loss. In the last year, I have had a major car accident (with physio for months), increased stress at work and a two-week vacation to New Orleans/San Diego (lots of food and drink). And with all of that, I have maintained my reduced weight and am continuing to eat healthy and drop pounds gradually. All other diets I tried only put the pounds back on and added more when I was faced with these types of situations. Conclusion: I am still working towards my ideal weight goal. I am fully equipped with Nancy's coaching tips and weeks of sessions where I learned the WHY other systems did not work. I make better decisions daily and continue to enjoy life without sacrifice. I will reach my goal because this solution works and is sustainable. If you are thinking of your New Year's Resolution to get a gym membership, eat healthier, get more fit for summer.... invest wisely and talk to Nancy about Metabolic Balance. This is a better investment in your health than anything else I am sure you have tried year after year.
