I hired this firm after a major water incident in February, expecting strong advocacy. Instead, I…read moreexperienced delays, poor communication, and repeated mistakes. Early Issues With Barry & Maddie (Escalated to John Early) Barry was defensive anytime I asked questions and repeatedly told me, "we're going to need to make what insurance is offering work," then backtracked when challenged. I had to ask multiple times for basic email communications with my carrier. Maddie, who handled contents, was pleasant but regularly missed obvious items and created errors I had to correct. I escalated concerns to John early on. His only solution was creating group texts, which did nothing to resolve the issues. Barry also recommended a contractor, then later refused to work with him. After seeing quality issues myself, I moved to Chris from On Point Renovations, who has been significantly more thorough. Home in Demo & July Breaking Point This claim began in February. I lived in a damaged home for months until late June, when demo made it officially uninhabitable. Insurance ended ALE on July 3, even though I still qualify under my policy. Despite this, Barry showed no urgency or proactive help. By mid-July, I told the firm I would no longer work with Barry. I never threatened to fire the company -- I genuinely tried to give them a chance to improve. They reassigned my claim to Al. Al's Delays & Lack of Response Al told me the estimate after demo would take 1-2 weeks. It took 3.5 weeks. When Chris finished his corrections, I sent the updated estimate to Al early on Nov 12. Then: * Nov 14: I followed up * Nov 18: Followed up again * No response (his last message was Nov 14) This firm was fully aware my insurance refused to pay further ALE, and every day of delay prolonged my displacement. Major Issues in Al's Estimate - Verified by My Contractor Chris emailed Al directly and found major inaccuracies: * Items listed that do not exist in my home (3-inch baseboards, standard crown, insulation for 4-inch walls) * Missing essential materials (Hardie backerboard, mud beds, shower pan, felt under hardwoods) * No O&P on mitigation, even though this was discussed with Maddie and Dale * Stucco repairs listed, despite my home having zero stucco These are basic scope errors -- not minor details. Only Responded After I Sent a Termination Email After multiple ignored follow-ups, I finally sent one email with both my termination request and the review I intended to post. I CC'd John and Dale Terry so leadership was fully aware. Only after receiving that email did Al respond -- within two hours -- with a revised estimate. Even then, he offered no acknowledgment of the delays or ignored messages. John and Dale never responded at all. Yet John, the Vice President, had time the day before to reply publicly to a brand-new 1-star Google review from someone else. The contrast speaks for itself. Fiduciary Responsibility & Loss of Trust Public adjusters owe a fiduciary duty to the homeowner. Instead, I had to chase updates, correct their work, follow up repeatedly, escalate issues, and essentially advocate against the people I hired. My home has been unlivable since late June, stuck in demo with no clear path forward. About the 5-Star Reviews People ask how this firm has so many. They comp people to take down negative reviews -- at least one person I personally know. A trusted source shared that they were offered compensation to remove theirs. Well, since this firm only seems to respond when someone leaves a bad review... guess we'll put that theory to the test. Do yourself a favor and work with another PA.

After searching all day for PA that is available to come out for my damage from hurricane beryl, I…read morecontacted Roger the owner, on a Sunday afternoon and was pleasantly surprised when he answered the call. This personal touch provided comfort during a stressful situation. I was slightly confused thinking he would be my PA instead I got a call from his partner Troy it took two weeks of persistent follow-up to schedule a preliminary inspection. While they established timeframes for gathering information for my claim, these deadlines were frequently missed, necessitating regular follow-up from my end. There were times when it seemed they were handling a high volume of claims, and I occasionally worried that mine had been overlooked for that week, despite their assurances that they could manage their workload the dragged out responses showed for themselves. During a home damage situation, consistent updates and reassurance are crucial for peace of mind. That being said, when Troy took over my claim, he consistently delivered on his promises (but was delayed and missed deadlines because he was overloaded with so many claims becuase he is so detailed in his work). His extensive experience proved invaluable; if you have the opportunity to work with him, you will be in excellent hands. I witnessed him working late to meet commitments, and despite the seven-month process, they secured a settlement that exceeded my expectations. If you are patient, willing to trust their process, and can navigate some frustrating communication challenges, they will work diligently to achieve the best possible outcome for you. Cons: * Communication regarding the claim process could be improved.(They do not properly guide you in steps and process of the time frames and next steps forward) * They tend to be reactive rather than proactive.(You could be calling them for guidance instead of them calling you to provide guidance. * Phone calls are not answered approximately 75% of the time.(when your house is in shambles they are your go to and they don't pick up its hard) * Claims may not be worked on daily, and updates may be infrequent (Becuase they are busy with so many claims they might not work on your claim every day) * I received updates from the insurance company before being notified by them. * If your not patient don't go with them, but know if you go elsewhere you might not get the experience that Roger and troy have in the PA Field * They are working on bring up all qualities as I referred them to other people who have mixed reviews since they did not get Troy or Roger on there claim and have newer PA's handling the claim with not that much experience. Pros: * Troy and Roger are highly experienced and dedicated. * They will see your claim through and help you secure a settlement that you would not be able to achieve on your own. * They are genuinely kind and want to help their clients

Without him, we would not have not have known what to fight for!! We have never had our roof replaced before, so we had lots of questions. Roger spoke with our insurance company and arranged to meet him at our house. Even got up on the roof and marked & took several pictures to identify all the damage. He also helped us with the forms that had to be approved by our HOA before the work could even start. He is on-time, efficient , hard-working and very knowledgeable! I would recommend him to anyone. http://disasterrecoveryadvocates.com/
