I love that Juniper Family Health also has other members on staff to contribute to your care, including a great nutritionist and another doctor who helped me get vitamins through an IV drip for the last four weeks. After scouring different ND's bios online, I settled on Dr Komonski. I had my first appointment yesterday, and I'm already looking forward to a long-term interaction with her. She was friendly, listened attentively and was a real fountain of interesting (and useful!) information regarding my health issues. I left there with a concrete idea of the next steps required of me, as well as some extra recommendations. Feeling supported and well-directed has eliminated much of the stress related to my health, even before any of the steps have been taken! As an added bonus, she's a clinical hypnotherapist. Yea, I have had some health issues prior to my arrival at Sound Naturopathic Clinic, but I have been treated by a naturopath in my previous state for years, addressing all of those. The purpose for my visit was to establish care and treatment for my overall health as well as the one chronic condition that needs ongoing follow-ups. It's a thyroid condition, so I need thyroid prescriptions every three months. I barely had a chance to sit down when the provider pulls out my health history and says we have a lot to go over but we won't have time to get to it all. I explained that I have been treated for years by a naturopathic doctor so my prior "conditions" were not why I was there. I explained that I have an autoimmune disease that requires prescriptions and I was there mainly to establish care and be treated for that-- my CURRENT condition. The provider rudely cut me off and sniped that she was not going to be used. I was confused, so I asked her to explain what she was talking about. She repeated that she would not be used by me. I asked her in what way she felt me coming to her for care was me using her. She said she isn't going to be used for prescriptions. (Which is a pretty ridiculous attack on my character, and also, ridiculous to accuse someone of pill shopping THYROID medicine. I again explained that I was there to be monitored and had labs to show her as well. Again, she rudely accused me of using her for prescriptions. She wasn't making sense and at this point the vibes were so toxic I removed myself from this establishment. I wholeheartedly believe she was planning on charging me for a litany of tests and procedures that I don't need at this point, and likely have already had with my previous provider. This is not a place I would refer anyone to.

After researching the Energy Enhancement System, I scheduled our first 4 hr session. Gavin, the owner, is incredible ! He spent so much time talking to me and answering all of my questions and sharing his knowledge about EES. He has opened the space up for us on days that they are usually closed and has checked in on Moose (our dog) multiple times since our first meeting. The space is beautiful and I could instantly feel the shift in the energy once I entered the room the systems are in. Moose slept the whole time and did not want to leave when the 4 hrs was up! I was actually shocked the next day when Moose, for the 1st time, was putting weight on her injured leg. I didn't go in with any glaring issues but I did notice i felt light the next day and was having better workouts. Since our initial visit we have been back 3 more time and are going again next week. Every other time we have gone has been 2 hrs sessions and I do think that we saw the most improvement with moose after her 4 hr session.
