Please excuse the long post but I want to help you by NOT choosing this business in the first place. I am giving one star for the team (because they were super sweet and happy) and NO stars for Sarah (the owner). I attended the Wounded Warrior Battalion ball this year and I was excited about pictures as I am every year. Every year I get a digital image and no prints. I don't care for prints. This year I asked for help with the form and the first young lady helping me was confused with it as well, so she sent me to the cashier. I stated I wanted one digital image for one pose. Simple. I was told it also came with one print of every size listed and she asked if I wanted to pick up at the battalion or pay extra for shipping. I paid extra for shipping as we don't go to the battalion anymore. Awesome. I pay extra for shipping and head to take our picture. I am pregnant, and the photographer was so sweet and said let me take some more poses. So, she does. After the poses are done, she said she will just send them all to us because they are so great. Wow, thanks! My husband and I were so excited as this pregnancy is a miracle baby and we are just so blessed to capture this journey. This is Sarah's reply.... She said that I am the only one out of the entire battalion that is having a problem with the order form and that the form was very clear so there is no way there was any sort of issue. She also said it's my word against her teams' word and that her team is going to deny it, which is already telling me I'm not going to get what I was told I was ordering because she's already denying it for her team and clearly making me out to be a liar. She mentioned many times her team is highly trained, and they don't mess up. I told her it's fine if they mess up, no one is perfect, and she proceeded to say that she didn't say they were perfect but with this issue, her team doesn't mess up. Now the cherry on top was how many times she said her order forms are checked twice and I wouldn't have been charged for shipping if they went to the battalion for pick up. Well, I have a receipt that says clearly, I paid for shipping and I did not receive the images here at my residence. They are at the battalion. Somehow, even with proof of a receipt, I'm still wrong and if I paid for shipping, they would have been shipped to me. This owner mentioned at the end that I was trying to get something for free, so her defensive attitude shows laziness by making that an excuse, so the customer looks bad and she doesn't have to have good customer service. Even if her art is great, I would NOT go with this photographer in the event there is a minor, minor issue. That teeny, tiny problem will be your fault because remember, she is perfect and so is her team and you are just trying to get free stuff. If any Marine Corps events are looking into this business, find someone else. She doesn't even have a background with an American Flag and a Marine Corps Flag. What business has been doing this for 12 years (she repeated that to me) and doesn't have the flags for a Marine Corps ball? This business owner is an all-around FAIL. read more

Absolutely would recommend Sarah Reid AKA Jane Studios, for anyone looking for a personable and extremely professional photographer for any kind of photo shoot. I chose Sarah for my son's senior photos as he is in a charter school, and they don't offer senior phot packages with any company. It wasn't hard to decide to use Jane Studios at all. Her new location is fabulously comforting and roomy with all kinds of photo samples on the wall. My son who is a bit shy was made to feel extremely comfortable and I know he felt pretty cool. I was dumbfounded on choosing the ones we wanted as there were so many to chose from. I will continue to use Jane Studios for any and/or all family photo shoots etc. read more

I attended the Wounded Warrior ball. My wife asked if we could see more photos since we paid for 7. Sarah sent us 3. But 2 were identical. She then went on to say we were wrong and should have read her email. I never new the customer had to do the company's job for them. She went on to say she never had 1 complaint from anyone, ever. We were the first. I guess Breanna was her other first complaint. Then she went on to tell me how great she is and all the business she has. I really didn't care. I just wanted the photos we paid for. After long, rude emails from her, I told her I didn't want a refund, my remaining pictures and for her to stop contacting us. So she has $50 for the 3 she sent us. The quality of the photos was good. We just wanted to see other photos because we took several and the others might be better. Sarah is a terrible owner and a passive aggressive person who will do anything to avoid taking ownership of an issue. If you don't believe me read her responses to Orquid and Breanna. I am glad I have served in the military for 19 years to have a photographer at the Marine Corps Ball call my wife a TERRORIST CUSTOMER. Probably the most classless and unprofessional thing I've seen. DO NOT USE THEM!!!!! If I could give negative stars I would. I know she will post a rude, defensive comment where she puts blame on the customer and doesn't take any accountability for her actions. It's always the customers fault. But then again, she has so much business and no of it comes from yelp but she will still take the time to write a lengthy reply. You're a disgrace. To say that my wife and I bring shame to the Marine Corps and WW Bn is about as un-American as you can get. You know nothing about service and sacrifice for a country. Post the emails. I could care less. Most professional people have a signature block. I use my yahoo email for work. Any person with common sense will see right through you. read more

Sarah of Jane Studios, photographed my daughter for her senior portraits and it was a very enjoyable experience. She was helpful, knowledgeable and fun to work with. Her team communicated with us at each step and her hair and make up artist is incredibly talented. Her young assistant is very sweet and she helped make the day run smoother. read more

Sarah just took engagement photos for myself and my fiance. Let me just say that she went above and beyond to make this photo shoot remarkable. Awkward at posing, I tend to make the pictures in other photo shoots I have done with my fiance look unnatural. Sarah corrected this. Her eye for the perfect shot is so good that adjusting forms failures is second nature. During the photoshoot, she encouraged us to be ourselves and have fun yet made subtle corrections to our poses along the way. In a short 30 minutes, she managed to take myriads of beautiful shots that I know we will cherish and show our families for the rest of our lives. She is experienced, has advanced equipment, and treated us so kindly. 5 out of 5. The pictures, experiance, and absolutely everything that came with it was phenomenal. I would reccomend her to absolutly anyone a million times. read more

Jane Studios took the pictures for our Wounded Warrior Military Ball a couple of weeks ago. The photographer took at least 10 pictures, today we received two. I emailed the photographer that I did not like how my husband and I looked and if I could get other shots taken. After the initial email, I expected a response with the rest of our photos. Instead I received a back and forth from a defensive photographer, that decided to interpret my emails as the pictures not being of "great quality", when all I said is that I did not like our pictures and wanted to see the rest. As a customer service oriented business if a customer is not happy, no need to argue, just send the customer what they want. Don't know if maybe there's just not enough experience here to know that yet. read more

Seriously love working with Sara! Her pictures are so authentic, so original, so amazing! & not to mention... she's an absolute blast to work with! I haven't done a photo shoot just "me" in years and she made me completely comfortable and the photos came out beautiful and natural. Jane Studios is a good as it gets! Sarah has taken family photos, maternity photos, work photos and couples photos for our family - she captures the sweetest moments, the photos that she has taken for us have given us the opportunity to savor such sweet memories. Sarah also provides incredibly adorable headshots for the preschool that I oversee, with the headshots and candid photos, she creates the most incredible yearbook for our families! Her graphic design skills are top notch. Sarah is friendly, honest and helps her clients to feel so comfortable! She is reliable and communicates well, you won't regret your decision to work with her! We just love her, she's been a blessing to our family and school for many years. read more
