Wonderful Institution! I haven't been there for too long…read morenow, i last saw "deadly game" which was great. The theater is rather small but cozy and the actors are good to understand. Annoying are only the school classes that have been forced to come by their english teacher and can't keep quiet. Other than that i love the place!

While I really like the comedies played in the English Theatre, "Orphans", which I saw lately, was truly a masterpiece and probably the best one so far. It is a very small and cozy theatre having merely one small stage within a room for approximately 100-150 guests. It is therefore recommended to book and reserve in advance. Card prices are very moderate, ranging around 20€ per person and depending on the seating. Students get a considerable discount. The Theatre sells drinks and snacks at a small bar in the lobby at reasonable prices. For more than two years, I have seen every single play in the English Theatre of Hamburg and will continue to do so. I can recommend it to anyone.
