This Walgreen's has received a high number of one-star reviews. While some of these reviews are…read morewarranted, I noted that most of them have to do with the pharmacy itself. I'll review both the store and the pharmacy. The store is well-organized and the staff members are pretty friendly. I have never left this store without finding what I was looking for (I don't always buy because their prices don't always meet competitors). The pharmacy definitely has some problems. Part of the problem is that there must be a pharmacist on duty in order for the pharmacy to open. This Walgreen's seems to lack enough licensed pharmacists so it is sometimes closed without explanation. I've had really good luck and really bad luck with the staff. Some are super friendly and some are super rude. There doesn't seem to be an in between. I will also say that this Walgreen's does not seem to stock a lot of prescriptions regularly. I've had to wait more than a week for my prescription at times. I'm not sure that this store is much different than any other Walgreen's store.

If you're looking for clothing and household goods this is not the right Walmart. This store is a…read moreneighborhood market that sells food and pharmacy. It's much easier to navigate than the bigger Walmart stores. I do find that the store is often under stocked and there are almost always pallets in the aisles waiting to go on shelves. I've also noticed that the store seems understaffed. The staff who do work here seem to be courteous and helpful. Given the volume of customers at this store the parking lot is tiny. It doesn't help that 30 parking spots are taken up for pickup spots. That seems excessive and they are spots closest to the doors. Part of me gets that but there are a lot of people who don't qualify for disabled tags but still need closer parking. This was a poor decision and certainly isn't customer-forward thinking. It's almost as if Walmart realizes some of the folks on that side of town don't have a lot of choice. The wait time to check out is almost always excessive. Overall, the store simply needs to hire more staff.

A young woman named Jonnie (sp?) went over and above to see that I got what I needed quickly, despite a problem with supply. They tell you your insurance will cover the medication then when you arrive they hand you a sheet with a code on it and a denial of coverage. Probably going to change to the other location. Lack of accountability with employees leads to issues like this making this store have such a poor rating. I would advise anyone in Orangeburg to use the other location. Disgusted!
