Congregation is largely Khoja and Pakistani but the community is incredibly welcoming nonetheless. Nearly all khutbas and lectures are done in English with a few special lectures done in Urdu. It has wide and tall glasses in front that faces through the trees, which makes the place more spacious and natural. Every Friday, they sell a lots of the foods like Bryani, pizza and more traditional foods and drinks for $5 dollars (CND) and the portion is huge and they are absolutely delicious! They do have events like "open mosque" for non-muslims. Everyone is welcomed to look around the mosque, to understand more about Islam and most of all THEY SERVE FREE FOODS! Vancouver architect Bruno Freschi put a great amount of thought into the architecture of the building and gardens. Even from the perspective of an outsider, this facility is magnificent. It was a humbling, interesting, and beautiful experience to learn about the religion, culture, and architecture of the Ismaili. These people are doing wonderful things throughout the world!
