BEYOND UNPROFESSIONAL…read more My son was supposed to be covered under my mothers insurance for the first 30 days of his life. They NEVER sent me ANY bills that were apparently not taken care of by her insurance. One of the bills was never even sent to my mothers insurance. My son was born in May, it is now OCTOBER and they sent this letter to me. This is BEYOND UNPROFESSIONAL to word something this way. We are in contact with the insurance company to get it figured out, but to get a letter that starts off with THIS??! Totally unbelievable and downright rude. I didn't have a true problem with this practice until now. We left because they didn't accept the insurance my son is on, but if I was still there I would be leaving after this. Edit to add: Just discovered a $150 lactation consultant bill when I did NOT ask to meet with the consultants at our initial visit. I was TOLD "the lactation consultant will come in and speak with you about things before you leave" and that was it. was not told i'd be charged, and I didn't ask to speak with them.

The care is amazing. They always have good care for every patient. The office experience is so nice.read more

So, any review for a pediatrics office has to be relative to that baseline. Roseville, truthfully, is as good as it's going to get. The doctors are nice, rooms are clean, nurses are sweet to kids. It's organized. Good parking. Is it fun going here? No. But it's never fun to take your kid to a doctor. Bottom line - got a kid? Go here.

A few of the Dr's are nice- but the office staff not so much and there is a huge lack of appointments, sick and annual well child appointment problem. Reaching the nurses is also difficult and several times messages I left with a nurse have not been passed along, were passed along incorrectly, documents not completed, etc. My child was also misdiagnosed and we are just starting to deal with the consequences of that. I wish I would have chosen a smaller practice and am looking into switching now. My child needed better care and she was just a number there.

What sets them apart from other doctors is they really care, listen to your concerns, and for the most part are very accessible. They are a smaller practice and don't have some big hospital affiliation calling the shots. While some doctors take more of an interest than others, it's nice when you can build up a relationship with one doctor. In our case that provider has been Mr. Garcia. He's hands on, very personable, and takes his times to address all of your concerns. He's also very down to earth. Both of my kids thought he was a cool dude, and as a mom I did too. I also appreciated that if I needed to reach him by phone I could leave a message and he would call back without always requiring a visit. They have a nurse line as well that usually is prompt in getting back to you for times when you aren't sure you need a visit or a call from the doctor. One unnamed nurse always seems miserable but she's really not when you get to know her but has resting bitch face. The reason for 4 stars instead of 5 is because I always had to call multiple times for referrals. You always get an answering machine and even when I requested acknowledgement I rarely got it. I think they just have Kerry (in referrals) working on too many things at a time because otherwise she's great. Also while I don't have first hand experience with this I had a co-worker who was "kicked out" of the practice for not paying a co-pay. She claimed no one ever called or sent her a bill. Even when she tried to make good and offered to pay additional to cover their inconvenience they still refused to see her daughter. Again no first hand experience with this but worth mentioning. I have and will continue to recommend them to anyone looking for a local pediatrician.

The Dr and Anesthesiologist were great at explaining everything and laying out all options. They were friendly and kind to the doula as well! We gave them a birth plan and they followed it completely. We had another nurse in couplet care named Binika who was outstanding and stayed 30 minutes past her shift due to an emotional situation. She was outstanding as well. Overall, the visiting hours and down time hours were perfect. Gave us time to recover and try to get some rest. Lactation support was amazing. They were very helpful with my wife and she was very appreciative of the staff for assisting her with this. My wife and I are grateful for their services and the safe delivery of our baby. Would definitely recommend Women's and Babies Hospital! The food was okay, but the peanut butter pie was stellar! The day of birth meal for the mom is between crab cakes, steak or lobster. My wife said it was delicious and the best meal she had there! Dad's don't complain about it to your wife, but that couch is rough

This review is specifically for the Imaging and Radiology office within Women's and Babies. I…read morereceived an ultrasound after experiencing a possible miscarriage a few months ago. Once completed, I was not given any sort of confirmation from the technician. She said there was "no longer a Radiologist on staff", and that they were only available at the main hospital on Duke St. The technician told me that she was told "since I pretty much knew I had a miscarriage, that I did not need a phone call specifically from a doctor to confirm". I left the appointment hurt, confused, and angry. Not only did I believe I had miscarried, but I was given no answers, no consolation. The next day, I called my OB/GYN, Lancaster Physicians for Women, who I have been a patient of for the last 13 years, for my final results. Prior to that afternoon, no one called or messaged me regarding the results. The nurse used a condescending tone with me and made me feel like a nuisance, when I just wanted to know if I lost my baby. I attempted to call the Imaging and Radiology office twice, left a message to speak with the practice manager, and no one ever returned my call. The steady decline over the past few years, and my most recent experience has confirmed that this corporation places profits over people.

For example-they gave me a prescription for the wrong medication for my child. On another occasion-a prescription for a medication that my child was on-was left in another patients file-they had to search around for it. They lost the copy of ID for my spouse that was in my child's file. Not too secure. I could go on. Dr. kumar is one that I like to avoid. She can get very nasty if you disagree with any of her suggestions-like for example, refusing a flu shot. If your child has a side effect from a med-she may get angry at you for bringing it to her attention-then insist that you do not have your child's best interest in mind, when asking for the med to be discontinued.

The referral department made the appointment for November 24, 2023 at 12:45. I have the two pieces of paperwork which state this. a week before 24 November I received a phone call that says a mammogram machine was broken and I was given an appointment for February 12. I expressed the fact that this was very late the person on the other end offered no empathy. She just stated that's the date, I went to my DEXA scan appointment on November 24. I got there at 12:32. The DEXA scan appointment according to the rep was 2 o'clock. I showed her my paperwork which has the heading that says to be done 11/24, 2023 at 12:45 she made no comment except to say your appointment is at 2 o'clock. I asked her about the mammogram that was broken, she said the mammogram is not broken but we are short on techs. I said I was given an appointment for for February 12. She said yes that's how far out we are now there's another problem if I had an appointment made in September for November 24 why was my appointment moved three months later? The lack of concern is outrageous. I started coming to rhe outpatient, downstairs as I go to one of the doctors upstairs who I love and I thought I should support the outpatient care. however, I have never been treated with such disrespect. Obviously. this location does not care about my business I left and I told the girl canceled the DEXA scan because I'm not waiting until 2 o'clock. I'm also not going make the February 12 appointment. I'm going to find another way. Very very disappointed in downstairs the people that wait on you and the mixup with times and dates of appointments.

I have had nothing but love for East Petersburg Family Medicine as you can see from my earlier…read morereview. However since they were taken over by Penn Medicine there has been changes that I'm not so enamored with. One of the practice's best assets is their employees and customer service. I loved that my phone call was always answered live and the clerical staff were always so helpful. Calls were returned promptly and all my insurance/billing inquiries addressed immediately. Since Penn's arrival they no longer answer with a live operator. Instead, as with most other doctor's offices you are greeted by a long menu and extended wait times to make an appointment. In other words they did away with the one feature - a live operator - that set them apart from the others and this saddens me. They also have a new check in kiosk instead of being greeted by and checked in with a human. While I don't necessarily dislike this feature the practice does have a large clientele of older patients who I have seen struggle with this. If given the option my bet would be that anyone over 60 would prefer to check in with a live person. I hope they decide to make this feature optional and not mandatory as they push now. My third gripe has been the referral department. I don't know if there have been personnel changes or if my new insurance is just very complicated for them but have been having issues getting things addressed for months now. In many ways I feel as if I am doing her job. I have even reached out to my insurance company myself (a task in itself) and gotten detailed written responses on the responsibility of my PCP and cut/paste to the referral girl only for her to continue to do her own thing. While I like that our correspondence is documented when I reach out to her on the Epic/MyLGH health app, it does take her a few days to respond. With that said I am still actively trying to resolve an issue, and hope that this issue and future ones are handled the proper manner. Despite these changes I love my doctors; Elizabeth Sigmund and Dr Elkz being my personal favorites and the nursing and clerical staff (with the exception of referrals) are wonderful. Overall the front staff work well with the back staff and I haven't witnessed a high turnover in either department. Their hours are convenient, as is there location and I highly recommend anyplace that uses the Epic system to correspond and share information and test results between doctors. They still get my recommendation.
