The star that's lacking is because of the ladies who come in to give vaccines and that sort of thing. A little rough for my liking, and not very encouraging to the little patient. Some pediatricians can be a bit condescending, acting as if we're "only parents" and don't know a whole lot, but there is none of that here. The doctors are always thorough and friendly and we never feel rushed to get out of the office. The office staff and nurses have always been professional and helpful. Everyone at All Kids works to make kids and parents feel cared for and at ease.

I am concerned and frustrated by some of their processes and procedures. Let me be specific: 1) I requested a referral for one of my daughters from "Heather," the person I was informed was their referral coordinator. This request occurred in mid-December of 2025. It is now April 16, 2026 and no communication has been received regarding the referral. She is unreachable by phone. When you call you are forwarded to her extension where you receive her voicemail 100% of the time. Her voicemail greeting specifically instructs not to leave more than one message about the same referral. If the referral was made (I have no way of knowing one way or the other) I am unable to follow-up with the specialty provider because I have not been informed who they referred her to (if in fact they made the referral). 2) I attempted to address this concern by speaking with the practice manager directly. When I tried to reach her by phone I was routed to her voicemail. That was roughly 12 weeks ago. No return communication has been received. Of importance - there was a previous instance in which a referral took greater than one year to complete. That's not a typo. This delayed the onset of an important treatment. The only reason it was ultimately resolved is because I continued to follow up, ultimately escalating it to the practice manager. In that instance, unlike this one, I was able to reach her and once she was aware of the issue she corrected it quickly. I note this here because my current concern appears to be moving toward replication of this past difficulty. Of course, there's something wrong with having to be so assertive in following up on the referrals they make to say nothing of the time horizon required. Let me also add that recently my daughter was offered three vaccines during a visit. We elected to receive one on that occasion, indicating we would discuss and return for the other two at a later date. We are not anti-vaccine. We had legitimate reasons to space them out. Unfortunately, they gave her the WRONG vaccine. They called us later to inform us of their error. I understand mistakes happen but what was of particular concern was how the practice manager addressed the error. She tried to persuade us that it was no big deal because they thought she needed the vaccine. That felt pretty invalidating and signaled a failure to take accountability. She also said that if our daughter comes back in to receive the one they were supposed to have given in the first place that there would be no charge. Hmmm...how about no charge for the one we did not request and you gave in error? Also, absent from the conversation was an indication of how they were going to improve their processes to reduce the odds of future errors. Learning of their error would have been better received with a simple "I'm sorry. We screwed up and won't make excuses. We are improving our process by doing x, y, z." Instead she made the situation worse.

My teenage dtr feels completely safe and trusts Dr Vo. As an infant she had Dr Dephouse and I felt completely at ease and reassured when leaving our appts. Transitioned over to Dr Vo when she hit puberty. Dr Vo is very caring and actually gets to know the girl on a personal level building trust. My son saw Dr Errico and we stuck with him until my son turned 19. Dr Errico was always very thorough and reassuring. There were appt times when we had to wait longer than we probably should have but you will find that in any doctors office. I can be pretty particular, especially being a first time mom & picky with this industry at times. She has a holistic approach to things but is a fully qualified doctor who can & will prescribe medicine when needed. I've learned so much from her in just these past few months that we've been her patients & we can tell she truly cares about our daughter, nothing is rushed & she really takes the time & makes an effort. She even has a work phone number you can reach her on through text, & she always gets back to you in a timely manner. After the holidays, our baby got sick & we were in the ER. Since then, she has been reaching out, checking in on us, fit us in for an appointment in less than 24 hour notice, & has just been so so helpful. Her patient portal is so easy to use too. You can see all of the plans she has for you, everything that was discussed in your visit, any subscriptions, upcoming appointments & direct messages with her. It's super user friendly & convenient. Not to mention, she is so sweet & kind. I'm just so happy we found a doctor we really trust & love. It can be really hard to do so, at least in my personal experience. Look no further if you're debating a pediatrician who will care for your child & support you in your choices & thoughts.

We all have better things to do! After the agonizing hours go by you see the doctor. Yet the answers and solutions you seek resolve nothing. He recommends a Rx's that never makes it to the pharmacy. Or the referral is never referred to the specialist. Or, they misdiagnose an injury. Not to mention, one of the doctors is extremely condescending. If it's not your typical ear infection, you're precious child is left in pain with no answers. You might find yourself tolerant of all this crap because there is one doctor that you like, he seems worthy of your trust, but don't be 5 minutes late without your paperwork filled out after filling out the same paperwork 3 other times in the last 6 months. It's not like you had anything better to do while you wait for the doctor for the next two hours, but for some odd reason it needs to be done 3 days prior to your appointment. Paperwork would be a delight as you wait despite filling it out multiple times in the same amount of months. But no! They won't be able to see you! You will need to reschedule! Your kid has already missed class for the morning. Your kid doesn't feel good and hasn't for a long time, but please come back later. Confused, because really the doctor has never seen you in a timely manner, yet you are turned away with your suffering kid following. You ask to see the office manager, because this is quite ridiculous! She is quite awful! She states that the doctor will not see you! 'He said, he is not going to see you!' Isn't it a doctors oath to do no harm? Maybe the doctor is not the person you thought he was. By not seeing your child, isn't he harming her? Perhaps the manager is lying and saying that the doctor is refusing to see you. Either way, you just got a behind the scenes understanding of why the office is so shitty. Why everyone else is so rude. Don't waste your time! If you want your child to feel better, this is not the place. They are rude, not punctual, and incompetent. Really, I think they just want to be awful. I admit, I was tired of filling out the paperwork and found this item very low on my priority seeing that I had already completed it very recently. I am busy like most parents, and had started it, thought this was dumb, but got pulled away in the process. Despite the paperwork, there is no compassion for busy me or that my kid that is suffering. Shouldn't the emphasis be on getting my kid better? They don't care! I have always wondered why they have such high reviews. I would not be surprised if they solicited reviews from friends, neighbors, and staff to boost their stars. Don't go here! Your kid deserves better! You deserve better!

I have been a client for many years dealing with both minor and major health issues. Dr. Weizman is my primary doctor but I have seen some of the others in the practice. He is one of the best doctors in Asheville. He returns every call or email I send within the same day. Most times it is after office hours but he DOES return your calls. Never had any problems making appointments. The Front Desk folks are top notch. If they can't get me in that day, they easily set me up for the next day. The nurses, PA's, lab crew and everyone in the office has always been quite good at their jobs. They answer all of my many questions and concerns and also relay them to my doctor if he needs to follow-up. I'm never rushed through any part of my appointment. Dr. Weizman will review your lab work, his recommendations or records from my other doctors. I never leave feeling confused or concerned about my health. These are the people you want taking care of you when you're not feeling too good. I highly recommend the whole practice if you need them.

They were both having their blood taken for testing. Dr. Page walks in the room (35 minutes later) and proceeds to yell at me for 5 straight minutes in front of my kids. She disagreed with why I brought them in and said the information I had and my reasons were "stupid". Then, after she stormed out of the room, she proceeded to speak loudly to the other nurses about me. My kids were shocked but I wasn't. Dr. Page acts exactly how you expect an old, jaded, condescending, shriveled doctor who is retiring soon to. Oh, and I was there for an hour and a half just to find out that the person who does the blood testing wasn't in LOL hilarious.

We brought my daughter in for a sick visit on a Wednesday. She was complaining of sore throat and…read morejust not feeling well. I had told the PA that she often gets strep throat without usual symptoms-so please check her for it. The PA refused to do so-saying this is just allergies and that she doesn't have any symptoms for strep. The PA sent us home and told us to "load her up" on Children's allergy meds and nasal spray. After having a 7 year old who felt sick all weekend-I had to take the following Monday off of work to take her back in. Now please tell me why if you think my child just has allergies-do you make her put a mask on and sit on the sick side of the waiting room? After being brought back to the exam room by a super rude CNA, the doctor comes in and says...yup just allergies. I said I'm not leaving until she is tested for Strep. So she finally says ok. The CNA comes back in and tests her for Strep. Says go home and we'll call you. I didn't see the Dr. again, she didn't tell me she was leaving, just left the room. I didn't leave until it was done-because it only takes a few mins to run it. Guess what? Comes back positive. The doctor doesn't show her face back in the room-just the CNA. She said we'll call a script in. 4 hours later the pharmacy had the script. I called ShaeLynn Byas the next day to let her know about our experience and she was completely ignorant on the phone. She even laughed at me. I asked her manager to call me then(Dr Templeton) and she said I'll give your info to him-but I doubt he'll call you. This office that is supposed to take care of children is a joke. I have never met a staff more unprofessional than this office. I do not recommend and I pulled my child out of this office to take her somewhere else. Highly recommend blue sky peds-the staff here is amazing.

""So..." Two…read moreemployees of Olson Huff said that word to me. But I'm getting ahead of myself. My daughter's video chats went fine. She had one right before Thanksgiving. But sometime in mid-December, I realized that they never emailed me a date for a follow up appointment. That, and they did not renew her medication prescription. How does a patient just get forgotten like that? I bet the people that forgot to follow up didn't forget to pay their electric bill or feed their dog. I called up- mid-December- to make my kid's next video appointment. I was told that it may have to be in-person, and to call back the day before it to see if it was video or in-person. I said that I would call a week before. Most people can't get extra time off from a job with less than a day's notice. A video call requires less time than an in-person one. The appointment was booked for very early March. I wanted to say that my kid had been forgotte; could I get an earlier one as restitution? I called back a week before the appointment in order to see if it would be in-person or video. I was told that the woman who dealt with that stuff would call me on Friday or Monday. The woman called me on Thursday to tell me that Olson was not doing video appointments anymore. Her delay did not allow my husband to take time off for my daughter's appointment with such short notice. The appointment was rescheduled for mid-April. That was not my decision. That is what we were given. I was told that my daughter would have to come in to get blood work to monitor her meds' effects on her body. I understand that. She was last checked in 2019. I started to worry about the meds' effects. I called back to see if we could do the blood work locally, as we go to Mission Haywood. I was told that since our primary care doctor did not order it, we could not. Can't our Olson nurse just get that order over to a practice that is affiliated with Mission? They are within the same system... I was not jazzed at that point. Especially because they did not seem to care anymore. A bright spot: I was put on a call list in case anyone else canceled that allowed us to get in earlier. They do honor that. There's more. A few years ago, my daughter attended two or three therapy sessions at Olson. We were told that she could only have those few, as we could not commit to weekly ones due to travel from a rural community. Recently, with the increased use of telemedicine, I had an epiphany about therapy for kids that live in rural areas and need help. Yeah, I think that all medical practices that have therapeutic services should allow access to such care via telemedicine if possible. Heck, there was even an article including an interview with Dr. Rebecca Baum, a doctor employed at Olson Huff, in which she stated, "A bright spot of the pandemic is that behavioral health services have adapted well to telehealth, and we want to continue to rely on this type of treatment for help with coping skills and stress reduction."* I think that pandemic or no pandemic, telemedicine should be embraced and progressed. Some people are rural, some are poor, some are time-strapped. Social standing is relevant to some doctors. Not to mention, we are still experiencing a pandemic. Social distancing is key to halting it, and if you can avoid a public place, then that is good. A doctor looked at my tick bite during a video visit and acccurately diagnosed me. (He said it was not infected and he was right.) So, back to "so". I believe that the "so"s that I got were a signal for me to process transferred info in order to hurry things along. They wanted me to shut up. I have never had two professionals, much less two from the same business, say "so" to me while having a conversation. It is rude. I'm sorry, but these women work for a medical institution. Investigating this phenomena, I discovered that there is or was a Facebook page: "I Hate People Who End Their Sentences with 'So' ". The "so" speaker feels "important, intellectual." Speaking "so" like that makes the so-er less credible, as they are hiding something that is troubling and complicated. That is interesting. One of my so-ers was sorta denying the dangers of a pandemic while working from home. The other was refusing a request. I think that the "so"s were multipurpose. I realized that I use "so" often in my reviews. Anyway, Olson does engage in disease prevention procedures. Some practices do not. So, there you have it.
