Terrible service with AAA for an auto claim. We had our car in an accident and they recommended…read moretaking it to one of the AAA Certified Shops for repairs. We took the car to South Gate Ford in Southgate Mi, the paint and everything went fine but once we went to pick up the car there was a few issues one with paint, the car battery was dead and the 3rd was the radio seems to have no audio even tho the radio powered on. We asked them to correct this since it was working before the accident. they told us we had to pay an inspection fee of $92 to have it checked and if it was from the accident they would cover it. We went ahead and authorized them to reinspect the car to find the issues since we know it was from the accident. They did not find anything that could have caused the raido audio to stop working and they did not find any issues with the charging system to cause the battery to die. so moving past that if the car charging system is fine now then great we will see after picking the car up later today.. but still no audio for the radio and they wont find the problem to correct the vehicle to the condition it was in prior to the accident. They also told us we should have a dodge dealer look at our car since they could not find an issue with the radio. You are a AAA Certified shop and if you cant do the work then why accept the job and expect me to pay you for doing nothing to correct the issue. All the while being in contact with AAA seeing what they could do to cover these fees they did nothing because there AAA Certified shop couldnt find the problems. We will be canceling all our insurances with AAA. I have not heard of anyone having issues like this from an auto claim before and i work in the motorcycle industry and we have not had any issues like this. Very un-happy and i would advise anyone looking for Insurance to look another direction. They seem to use/refer people these AAA certified shops because they know they will cut corners for them and save them money. It is a sad way to treat customers. I'm not asking for much but i expect my car after an accident to be returned in the condition it was prior to the accident... thats why we all pay for insurance.
