We had a very disappointing experience with Verhuisbedrijf Direct…read more Initially, the quotation was around €2150, but the final price increased significantly due to "additional hours" and poor communication regarding the planning and execution of the move. Despite requesting updates and clarification in advance, communication was unclear throughout the process. The biggest issue, however, was the condition in which our furniture was delivered. Multiple items were damaged during the move and assembly process, including: - Two wardrobes - One chest of drawers - Our double bed The damages were not limited to superficial scratches. We identified chipped panels, damaged corners, structural impacts, missing screws, poor reassembly, and bed drawers that no longer function properly after the company's team handled the dismantling and assembly. Some furniture was also not packed according to the agreed service. Certain items were poorly protected, while others were not wrapped at all. This was extremely disappointing considering we hired a professional moving company specifically to avoid this type of problem. What made the situation even worse was the company's response afterward. The damages were minimized as "minor scratches" supposedly repairable with beeswax or paint, despite clear evidence showing physical and structural damage. After we provided additional photos, videos, and detailed explanations, communication became extremely slow or completely nonexistent. We specifically chose Verhuisbedrijf Direct because of its positive reviews and expected a professional, careful, and reliable service. Unfortunately, our experience was the exact opposite. After researching further, I also found several reports from other customers describing very similar situations involving damages and poor handling of complaints. At the moment, the matter is still unresolved, and I am currently awaiting a proper response and compensation proposal for the damages caused during the move. Considering the overall experience, communication, professionalism, and handling of the situation, I cannot recommend Verhuisbedrijf Direct.
