Probably the best of my childhood summer memories were spent at Jamberoo. Jamberoo was the ultimate reward for me and my cousins after a long year of hard work at school..and let me tell you, it sure paid off. There's almost nothing about this water theme park that isn't worth the 20 minute wait in the queue: from the giant water slides to race your friends and the pitch-black Taipan to the relaxing tubing rapids and amazing wave pool. And although it kind of defeats the purpose of coming a water theme park, Jamberoo also caters for those who prefer to stay dry on land with their go-karts, miniature golf and toboggan racing. But don't think all this comes cheap, with general admission prices at $39 per person, it's more than just the far-off location that makes our trips to Jamberoo limited. Drive on over in the morning to take advantage of a full day out, and by the late afternoon the kids will sure to be asleep in the car by the time you get home. read more

Jamberoo Action Park was one of my favourite places to go to when I was younger and now. Living in Sydney, my family and I occasionally went to Jamberoo, because Luna Park was small and didn't have much (not saying its a bad theme park though). Jamberoo was roughly an hour away, but it was worth the long drive. My favourite rides would be the toboggan and the taipan. After coming here last month with friends I discovered that they had opened a new ride called the "Funnel Web". It was a massive water slide and I literally spent all day going on that. The line was massive but was worth the wait. Jamberoo is probably one of the best action parks in Australia. However, recently I have been feeling worried. The new water park in Sydney (Wet 'N Wild) has just opened, and I've been wondering if that has caused a shortage of people in Jamberoo. The reviews for Wet 'N Wild have been pretty good, and critics are saying that it's one if the best water parks in the WORLD. Now I'm just wondering how long it will take before Wet 'N Wild Sydney affects Jamberoo and Luna Park visitors ;s One thing I would like to add before I finish up is the pricing. The food is very expensive and in my opinion a complete waste of money. The general admission tickets are pricy. Overall, I always have had and will continue to have fun at Jamberoo. I still love going there with friends and family, read more
As the slogan says, it's where you control the action. There's plenty of rides to choose from and my top picks are: 1) Funnel Web 2) Splash Out 3) Wave Pool From lying on the sandy (man-made) beach, to the pitch-black drop into the funnel web, there is something here for everyone. The place gets really busy so it is best to arrive early (10am opening time) and do the popular rides first (funnel web). You're not allowed to wear any loose footwear or clothing items so most people tend to walk around barefoot and without their sunnies. So it's advisable to put plenty of sunscreen. On hot sunny days, the footpath can get too hot to walk on; and I have seen some people wearing scuba diving booties around (Not the best fashion-wise, but it does prevent getting the soles of your feet burnt). And on overcast windy days, it can get pretty cold when you're wet and waiting in line for the next ride. A shorty wetsuit can make a huge difference and keep you warm throughout the day. read more
