We were referred to Aimi by a friend of mine (she did my friend's engagement session and wedding recently). I believe Aimi has only been doing wedding photography for a little over a year? But she is AMAZING at what she does. She has a great eye. She's very patient and has an easy-going personality. We felt really comfortable around her during the shoot. I believe being comfortable around your photographer is a big thing! She really captured the moment. Because of her, my husband and I had beautiful photos to display for our guests to see at our wedding. All of our guests loved the photos. I would have loved to hire Aimi to shoot on our wedding day, but we have already booked someone months before meeting her. My husband and I are actually doing another shoot with Aimi in a couple of weeks (post wedding pictures - - since our wedding photographer didn't take any formal portraits of just my husband and I on our big day). Aimi also does maternity portraits and family portraits. I would definitely recommend her.

He was very professional yet super friendly and approachable, he was thoughtfully detailed and helpful when it came to posing for the more formal shots, and we received a TON of compliments on his service from wedding guests. He even climbed up a ladder to get good shots of the dance floor! We had a laid back backyard style wedding and were initially hesitant about the shots he would be able to get since we didnt exactly have any epic background views. However Tim was able to get amazing photos of us and our guests and he really captured so many special moments. On top of all of this he was very easy to contact and communicate with before, during, and after the wedding. I HIGHLY recommend his service and would 100% book with him again !!!

It was important for us to have this moment of a new family of three captured. When the weather became warm, I was avidly looking for a photographer to do outdoor family photos with. I came across Da and was able to book an appointment with ease. I explained to Da what I was looking for and he immediately grasped the concept. What I appreciate most about Da was his patience with us and our daughter. He was able to capture such candid moments! He gave us good pointers on how to pose and where to stand for the best lighting. He made us feel comfortable and made our shoot fun! Da followed all guidelines with social distancing and wearing a mask. He is professional, patient, and personable. I am really happy with how our photos turned out. I would highly recommend working with Da! Thank you for capturing this special moment for us as a family of three!

Upon meeting up, we were given quick tips on how to pose/move throughout the session. We're both noobs when it comes to posing and he made it feel natural. We couldn't have been happier with how the the pictures turned out! Highly recommended.

They took us all over Half Moon Bay and even bought us lunch. Overall, a great experience. Our wedding day came and Ashkan and Sepideh were absolutely amazing. Right from the get go, Marina's communication was prompt, respectful and transparent. She let me know what time she'd be at the venue, her plan for the day and also asked me for any styling or vision that I was going for. Her eye for the colors, creativity, styling, angles -- everything was phenomenal! We had initially booked her for 2 hours, but I requested that she extend for one more hour of paid service and she agreed on the spot. I was in the mandap so I had to ask a friend to ask her to stay longer, and she just nodded and it went about without a hitch! She's truly a gem of a photographer and a genuinely nice person to work with. We loved his lifestyle approach, his emphasis of quality over quantity/ price, his genuine but laid back manner, and his ability to really help us feel at ease in front of the camera. We never felt like we were under any clock (from the first conversation, which lasted almost 2 hours!! to the wedding day, when he was punctual but never told us that "time is up"), and was completely flexible and accommodating while still ensuring that we were going to receive the best photos possible. He also did our engagement shoot at Fort Mason, and stayed with us through the end of the day even though we arrived 1.5 hrs late due to Bay Bridge traffic! All our friends and family LOVED our engagement photos, loved working with him on our wedding day-- and we are so eager to see the final product in just a few short weeks. Thank you Karl!!

When we interviewed Karl Ko, we immediately hit it off. Unlike another photographer (who shall…read moreremain nameless) we interviewed, Karl was down to earth and very accepting of what we wanted in a photographer. He did not start the clock the minute he stepped out the door for our wedding day. He did not nickle and dime us. He is not a pure photojournalist nor a traditionalist. Rather, he was there to capture our story no matter how long he thought it would take.. Sure, we did ask for the more boring group shots with family and guest tables around the room, but looking back at the rest of the photos of the day, he combined fashion and photojournalism with a bit of art to make spectacular photos. My suggestion is that when you hire Karl, you continue to keep him in the loop with all your wedding details. And if he ever asks you if you want to do something artistic and new, just go for it. We ended up with a photo-mosaic on our wall which is fantastic.
