Jalapeños 2 has the best quesabirria tacos in town. I'm blown away! The carne asada fries and beef burrito were also great. But WOW those tacos. Beans and rice are also extremely tasty. Nap time

Ordered the chile relleno and taco combo plate to go! Rice and beans are standard, not bad. The ground beef taco was actually my favorite! I didn't care for the chile relleno, but that was just my personal opinion. The tacos, with a side of salsa and radish, just so yummy!

I just had the best chicken flautas I've ever had! Forgot to take a picture until i was almost done, but here's the 1 I have left. Service is amazing, place is always spotless, also. So happy to have found this place when we moved to NW Reno.

Friendly service, delicious food and clean restrooms. I don't come to Reno often but will make sure to stop at Jalapeño's 2 anytime I am in town.

The service at Jalapeños2 is better than the Sparks location on Los Altos, but glad they have this one in Reno. Their taquitos are my favorite! My little sister got me hooked on these and if she orders them, I will steal one or two. Shhh... We ordered a few things to share for dinner between 4 of us. I was okay with the ceviche tostadas, but I had a bite of everything. What makes everyone else's food tastes better? One ground beef chimichanga combo plate, a carne asada fries, an asada wet burrito with salsa verde, ceviche tostadas and chicken taquitos. The handful of times I've been into this location, the dining room and shopping center have both been very quiet. I see their to-go orders flying out the door though. I never complain about a quiet room anywhere. I will however be back for my next fix next time or I'm nearby. Thank you for the great service last night 3/23. My to-go order was placed online and ready before the quoted time to be ready for pick up.

Never even knew this place was here despite it being about 5 mins from our house! It's tucked away in a place where you don't really drive unless you're specifically looking for a business in this area. We ordered takeout and I came here to pick it up. The inside is small but does have some tables for dining in. It feels like a mix between a hole-in-the-wall taqueria and a small dine-in Mexican restaurant, the best of both worlds! I got the quesabirria taco combo, my husband got a carnitas burrito smothered in green salsa, and we split an order of carne asada fries. We thought everything was really good! Big portion sizes, all the right toppings, flavorful meats, affordable prices. They also have a salsa bar inside where you can pick what salsas you want and how many of each. We asked for a side of chips and I was disappointed to get home and realize they didn't give us any, but luckily we had some chips at home to use with all the salsa. The spiciest salsa was my favorite! My husband really liked their green salsa. This was a solid spot for some takeout and we will plan to come back!

Jalapeños remains consistently delicious and a family favorite! We love stopping in for a quick bite, or calling ahead for take out, either way their food is fresh and delicious wherever it's enjoyed. I'm a sucker for the carne asada tacos covered with cilantro and onions but I did try the quesabirria tacos last visit and was impressed with the tender meat and flavorful consommé.

My husband and I were in the neighborhood and we ended up here for lunch. No other customers were inside when we walked in, which would normally be concerning, but we arrived on the early side and several other customers came in after we ordered. My husband ordered Huevos Rancheros and I had Shrimp Enchiladas. While placing my order, I asked if their beans were vegetarian or if they offered other types of beans and was told "no" on both. I don't eat lard so it mattered to me. No problem, though, as they doubled the amount of rice for me instead. The place itself is low-key casual with somewhat of a fast-food feel. But the food is not a reflection of the ambience! I tasted my husband's dish and we both agreed that his huevos were better than those served at another place in town where we usually get them. More fresh tasting and much less greasy. As to my shrimp enchiladas, they were pretty tasty and priced fairly for a seafood dish. Overall, between the food and good service we were happy with our experience and plan to come back again some day.

We ordered Jalapeños 2 to-go the other day since we were craving burritos. We called to place our order and the staff was really nice and the service was quick - our order would be ready in ~15 minutes after placing our order. We picked up our order that came with chips and we selected the verde and red salsas to go with our meal. Our carne asada burritos were good and pretty simple. We didn't love the verde salsa (usually our go-to with Mexican) but the hot red salsa was super good! I'd definitely recommend the red salsa with your meal. Overall, we had a good experience and the food was good but just not our favorite based on other carne asada burritos we have had in the area. I think next time I would try one of their plate meals instead - those look good!

Tis place is fantastic! My go-to order here are the carne asada fries and my hubs like the carne asada tacos. This place is always quick so if you're looking to dine-in or take food to go, they have a quick turnaround. Most people seem to get food to go here, but there are about a dozen small tables for eating in. The prices are super reasonable. You can get two orders of fresh, hot food for less than the price of two fast-food meals at a drive through. This is my go-to take out Mexican spot near my house.

This is such a cozy and unique restaurant. Everything we ordered was something I had never tried before. We started with cocktails. They have a big variety of margaritas, beer, and other signature drinks. For our appetizers we ordered the blue corn bread which is served on a mini cast iron skillet. This corn bread is sweet, but also has some spicy chili flavor. We shared the fish ceviche with tuna. It was so fresh and the flavors were out of this world. Tangy, sour, a little spicy. For my main I went with the special for that weekend which was the Sea Bass. So flaky and buttery. It was served on top of a kind of fried rice. Overall great experience here. I would prepare for a 2hr experience so that you can enjoy all meals equally!

The numerous booths were cute, but really too small for four people. there were quite a few larger tables for eight or 10 people. Four four , It's a lot of cozy togetherness, which is probably fine for a family, but not for other circumstances. The halibut entrée was very good. The short ribs were kind of average. The other two guests were mixed in their review of the entrées as well. Our our server was super nice , attentive and knowledgeable - while he was with us - but would disappear for long periods of time such that we had to get up to get their attention several times to get additional items. The restaurant was not particularly crowded, but there was something going on at another nearby table - perhaps a VIP, family friends or owner (?) that attracted a gathering of several servers for long periods of time, so it was hard to get our servers attention. I'd be surprised if that was a common scenario, but it happened while we were there. Ambient noise was fine . Prices were on the higher side for my expectation, but the presentation was very nice. It was pretty good, would probably do 3 1/2 stars if I could, but it definitely isn't equal to the various four stars I've rated locally.
