I found the reviews for Sr. Mostacho on Yelp and I thought it would be a place we would enjoy. Young crowd, good vibes, great music, and of course, drinks!
We had dinner in the Centrito Valle area which is very beautiful. We decided to walk to find Sr. Mostacho. At this time of night on a Sunday it was very quiet. We walked by all the bigger clubs (closed of course) and I regret not getting a chance to visit them. The next thing we know, we hear pounding electronic dance music from a parking lot. We quicken our step and sure enough, we found the spot!
Sr. Mostacho reminds me of a club, without the pretentiousness. The music is loud and fun, but no one is dancing on a dance floor, everyone is at a table drinking and singing (bottle service is available!). It was a really neat experience because most sit-down type bars or pubs in Canada play rock or live music.
The people at this bar were very friendly and showed us some of the interesting drinks you can get there. They ordered us a Mexican flag which was lime juice, tequila, and some kind of red drink. Most people spoke english here so it was easy to communicate.
I wish there was a Sr. Mostacho here in Canada. It would be my new favourite place! I guess I will have to venture to Monterrey again one day!
