This is a mediocre Chinese buffet. I gave it two tries once for lunch and once for dinner. For both of my visits the service was non-existent and after being seated I never saw any staff again. So good luck getting a drink refill or any other kind of service! On both visits I ordered an unsweet tea but was served a sweet tea and then never saw any staff to fix that. The other Chinese buffets in the area are just better as they actually refill your drink or fix a wrong drink. So I am two and done with this place as I really was hoping that things would improve and unfortunately they are all too consistently bad in the service department and the food at the other Chinese buffets is also better than what you get here. Too add insult to injury they ask if you want to add a tip when you pay. So overall there's really no reason for me to come back to this joint

Sweet n sour pork dish was room temp (only abt 20 min. Delivery) soggy, greasy, no flavor. and most of all..it did NOT even look or taste like pork!!! Yuck, never again, as I've questions safety concerns. I've eaten at over 15 different Chinese restaurants and never have i experience a dish so horrible and totally different.

Just stopped in for something small. Had the crab Rangoon. It was just like I like good and crunchy. The buffet looks amazing. I will return next time I'm ready to eat. Clean friendly service.

With the best selection of Chinese food on the island. Jade Gardens bound to satisfy offering their own Asian inspired flavour to each dish. In addition to the buffet, be sure to try out their varieties of handmade sushi. Friendly service delivered in a clean, spacious atmosphere makes every visit special, making them an island favourite amongst buffets in the area.   Prices are $7.50 lunch & $9.95 Dinner. For copious amounts of food, this is quite a steal & I take full advantage of it sampling all of my classic favourites like General Tso's chicken egg drop soup & black pepper beef with fried rice in abundance. Their service is ok, but I wouldn't rank it terribly high as the server took a bit of time getting us our drinks when we needed them refilled, but she was friendly, so I'll overlook that. The interior & themed decor is fairly appealing, giving to the Asian theme. I always enjoy the fountains at the entrance & Jade Garden is no exception.      General Tso's is very savoury & flavorful compared to what I've had in the past, but a few pieces weren't as juicy as I hoped. The white rice tended to be a bit on the dry side (like most places), so I tended to go with a bit more flavour & did the fried rice & I was quite satisfied. Their sushi station can be a hit or miss as a few of the rolls might not have been packed tight enough & fall apart. For the price & endless copious amounts of food, I'm looking forward to this gorge fest on a major scale. I mentioned earlier that my server was friendly yet rude on this recent visit. Still, I'll give them another chance when I visit again as this place is memorable to me for the many meals I enjoyed here with family. Therefore Jade Garden earns a generous 4 star in my book.  Be sure to like on FB & tell a friend. https://www.facebook.com/JadeGardenChineseRestaurant/

Nice little chinese restaurant the food wasn't amazing but it wasn't terrible either. The vegetables were very fresh but the rolls lacked flavor. The egg drop soup was crunchy at the bottom of the bowl and the chicken was fatty. The server reached over me several times which made me uncomfortable. Other than these things it's pretty average.

I said tacos & she gave the look, yes that look so Chinese Tuesday it is :-) Happy Kung Pao Tuesday my friends!!

post-Sally Covid update June 2021. For my full review please read previous, so the only damage I'm aware of was their sign and lettering on the exterior. It was unfortunate that it took over a year and half to get their signage back up but it's finally there. The restaurant is in a very congested area and set back off the road across from Tanger outlet and you could easily blow right past it. I'm happy to report that they appear to be fully staffed and the food remains as it was before the double whammy interrupt if Sally & Covid. Bottom line: It's the best buffet around and I continue to consider it a treat to stop in whenever cooking is off the table. (see what I did there :-)

Lunch buffet is a really good price for the area, but selection is limited and somewhat bland.

Best Chinese in Baldwin county! Singapore mei fun is top tier. I eat here at least once a weekread more

It's been 4 years since I reviewed here, which is my trend I guess, with my last two being in 2016…read more& 2020. It's been my favorite Chinese in the region since I first tried it nearly ten years ago. China Dragon, located in Gulf Shores, AL, is a well-established Chinese restaurant that has been serving delicious Asian cuisine for over a decade. They have a cozy dining area with a few tables, and while I have dined there quite a few times, I do pick ups for my takeout fix on a lot more occasions, like tonight . They now also have another location in Orange Beach, AL as well but I haven't tried that one, yet :-) Their menu features an assortment of classic Chinese dishes. Appetizers like egg rolls and crab rangoon provide the perfect start to any meal, while the restaurant's signature General Tso's chicken, Mongolian beef, and lo mein dishes showcase the flavors and textures of traditional Chinese cuisine. Side note: Interestingly, General Tso's chicken, a dish named after General Tso, a 19th-century Hunanese general, despite being synonymous with Chinese cuisine in America and around the world, has a somewhat surprising history. The dish wasn't actually created in China, nor was it eaten by the historic General Tso. Instead, it was invented in Taiwan in the 1950's by a chef named Peng Chang-kuei, who had fled there with the Nationalists after their defeat by Mao Zedong's Communists. But then it was transformed into the sweet, fried staple of American Chinese cuisine we know and love in New York City during the 1970s. It is one of my all-time dishes when I'm eating out Chinese, and I do not cook it. There is one dish that I really, really like here that is wildly overlooked. It's simply listed on the menu as "Singapore Rice Noodle" which I've had in Chinatown's from Boston to San Francisco but they don't describe it anywhere here. They do a fantastic job with this dish. Singapore Rice Noodles, is also known as Singapore Mei Fun or Xing Zhou Chao Mi Fen, and a popular stir-fried rice noodle dish with a unique blend of spices and ingredients. Despite its name, the dish is believed to have originated in Hong Kong and is not commonly found in Singapore itself. They make it with rice noodles, onions, carrots, and bean sprouts, with generous portions of shrimp, chicken and beef all cooked perfectly. Speaking of portions, they also give you portions they are easily enough to share with two or more people at very reasonable prices. Try it! In addition to dine-in and takeout services, China Dragon offers delivery through its own dedicated drivers, as well as through third-party platforms like Grubhub and Doordash. Bottom line: This place is an outstanding choice for Chinese with an extensive menu, convenient hours, fast service and hot fresh food. Highly recommended!! Open seven days a week with operating hours ranging from 10:30 AM to 10:00 PM or 10:30 PM depending on the day, China Dragon ensures customers can satisfy their cravings at any time. You can stay up to date with the latest and menu updates by following China Dragon on Facebook at facebook.com/ChinaDragonGulfShores.

Not sure why a full service restaurant has people on a wait when only 4 tables are full…read more.. Yet let the customer beware because we continue to come here when we are in the Orange Beach area because it is one of the only Thai places in town...This is our 3rd time here and I don't recall anything in particular memorable about the previous 2 occasions... We came here at 6:15 on a Tuesday night. The restaurant was not busy yet we were placed on a wait ( literally 4 tables in the whole place were seated). I am guessing that either kitchen staff or wait staff was short due to us having to wait for a table??? Once we were seated, a lovely human came in to order take out and was quoted a time of 40-50 minutes...at this point of our meal experience three tables were filled; there was one additional person waiting for take out, and then the person inquiring about an additional take out order . In my head I am thinking that the food must be fire for someone willing to complete a takeout order and wait that amount of time...Makes me hopeful that the wait for my own food might be worth it (but the cynic in me is doubtful). Beer selection leaves a lot to be desired especially on the Imported front. Appetizers (two orders of spring rolls) came out prior to the entrees which was a pleasant surprise. Spring rolls were served hot and were as to be expected. Portion sizes for entrees are small. We ordered Thai basil fried rice on a Thai hot level and beef drunken noodles with extra vegetables (not sure where the extra veggies were on this) Thai hot. Food great, spice level on point, service sub par, portion size a bit small for the price...more like lunch portions. If the service was better and portions larger, this place would be out of the out of this world, but because they are not l, it is mediocre at best.
