Not a bad place for the price ! Fed 8 for $40! Food wasn't bad ! Not a large variety but good for what you was able to get !

Typical Chinese Buffet Six of us stopped there for lunch and were greeted by a friendly hostess that promptly seated us. We arrived around 1130 and the place was pretty empty and by 1230 it was packed. The buffet was not great but it was pretty good. There was something there for everyone and is your typical chinese buffet. I had a few of the entries that were pretty tasty. Everyone was satisfied with the buffet and fro $7.50 it was a bargain. I agree with the other comments that the sushi did not look very appealing and as a result all 6 of us passed it up. The place is very clean and the wait staff efficient and friendly. read more

After the good reviews we decided to eat there on our trip to Foley last week. I woke up in the middle of the night with extreme stomach pain that continued all night. I wound up with explosive diarrhea for two and a half days Will never eat there again. read more

we found a piece of plastic in their soup and we only found it when my 6 year old niece was eating it, very unsanitary and then the staff proceeded to tell us we were wrong, and that it never happened. read more

Really great food at an affordable price, very well seasoned, about as quiet as you can expect a public space to be and a really enjoyable atmosphere. I really enjoyed the chicken fried rice and the dessert that are there. I would go again not only for the food but as well as the friendliness of the staff. read more

This place is a complete joke, rundown , slapping garbage on a plate and calling it food. This place makes mall food look and taste fancy. BEWARE BEWARE DO NOT EAT HERE. They serve the lowest and I mean lowest quality food possible and give two shits about service. The manager is just as nasty as the employees. She is none responsive and completely lacks any people skills. I wouldn't be surprised if this place goes under in the next year or so. I tried to make the manager aware of the problems, but got complete backlash with the response " we are too busy with a restaurant packed with customers " lmao this was such a joke. Barely half the tables were filled and there was only one server. Lol she was misplacing understaff with busy. The kitchen is beyond and I'm surprised the health department haven't shut them down, there is no pride or effort to what comes out that kitchen. I am a local of foley and i've been to all the Chinese food in the area. I've lived here for many years(11) and found jade garden to be the best. It has fresh food, great taste. As for the waitress's and waiters. Not very talkative, not very welcoming other then pick a table and eat. Listen to what i write because i know these places like the back of my hand. for Quality food and quantity [GO] to JADE GARDEN 1:Jade garden [flavor and quantity] 2: peng garden [ Quantity ] 3: Hunan's [ Friendly and quantity absolutely 0 flavor] and cheap. Disregard other posts on here.. i assume they aren't locals and are just snow birds and racists. The selection is better then all the other within this city, They have 3 diffrent types of California rolls. Curry, and alot of other really good dish's. some aren't traditional.. but hey! still good. jalapenos with thin steak! not bad at all! Traditional egg rolls, and other really good fresh stuff! My favorite is the Crab Rangoon and the pot stickers! I also took the time to actually put up pictures.. unlike the rest. read more

My husband does not like Chinese food. He does not like buffets either. But, we found Jade Garden and he gave in and went there with me. He was so surprised, the food was fresh, the buffet was very well stocked, the restaurant was very clean and the staff was on the ball. I can say that there is nothing I would change. I was in town visiting and my dad could not stop talking about this place. We went at lunch and the price was $7.50 a person which I thought was pretty good for the area. They have a large selection and the food was pretty fresh for a buffet. The unsweet tea was good. It is a typical Chinese buffet. They don't serve butter for the rolls but all in all it was good. Love this buffet! Enjoy coming here any time in Foley! The staff is nice, there are Chinese lions as you walk in and the food is fresh and awesome! I always enjoy the crab bake and they have amazing wontons! This has to be the worst Chinese buffet we've ever visited. We arrived at lunch. Every "hot" item on the buffet was luke warm at best. The booth they sat us at had food/trash under the table. Signs on buffet guard regarding what wasn't included in "to-go" boxes, if children filled up their plates yet didn't eat it you'd be charged extra $5.95, and they don't have butter for dinner rolls. Yes, these were actual had written signs on buffet. I wouldn't touch the sushi & it appeared no1 else had either. No telling how long it'd been out. We saw the restaurant and decided to stop and eat dinner. Unfortunately, it wasn't to our expectations. The temperature in the restaurant is very humid. The food is mediocre. The chicken was very dry. The overall taste was a little bit different than what we are normal too. Very limited choices considering it is a buffet. The fried rice had no taste at all-it was very bland. The meat was chewy, nothing really was fresh. It may have been hot but it taste fresh to me. The fried chicken was burnt and crispy. Sushi... Lunch buffet is a really good price for the area, but selection is limited and somewhat bland.

Food was undercooked. We barley got served I think only once. It was not good at all and when we told them the food was undercooked they tried to tell us differently. Definitely the worst experience I've had. I put crab meat in my body I wished I wouldn't, and if you don't like germs like me they put your straws in your drink. Gross!!! Never again. read more

Every six months or so I forget how bad this place is and go back to try it again. I was in a couple weeks back, after returning from my doctor and being too tired to cook dinner. So, after about three bites I was feeling so bad I asked to get my buffet food boxed to go, and they did with no problem, but after I got home and felt a little better, and trying it again, it was still very unappetizing. So for the next six months or so again, I will not go near this place. (What makes me keep trying is that it was sooo good when they first opened the place. So disappointing) read more

Worst service I've ever received. My friend Gina and I were told to sit wherever so we chose the back corner. Rude lady shouts that that section is blocked off... didn't see any tape or anything blocking it off, but whatever we get up and move. She takes our drink order, I order a Diet Coke and Gina orders a Coke. She comes back with our drinks (Felt like she was passing judgement) we tell the lady 3 times I have the Diet Coke not Gina and she's still looking at Gina and I dumbfounded and confused insinuating that Gina needs a Diet Coke. Didn't even apologize about her rude remarks. The guy in the booth behind us was watching porn very loudly but she was too worried about who needed the Diet Coke to care about that. Completely ruined our lunch. Gina is still very upset about the whole situation. Food wasn't even worth the insults. read more

We have been to this place about a dozen times or more during the past twelve months and it has always been good. But this time was a loser. Everything was hot as far as temperature which was nice but the chef added way too much hot spice or something. Even the salmon had heat. Wife's cabbage she said was not as good either. At this point in time, I don't recommend this place unless you want Mexican-Chinese food all prepared as one. read more

Once again, volume trumps quality (and taste and originality). Just go else where and consider your self lucky. If you have to try it, you have been warned. FRAUDS!!!! On 3/25/17, Jade Garden in Foley, AL FRAUDULENTLY altered my credit card payment to include a $5 tip. (I watched the server pick up from our table the large cash tip that I left and other workers were on the register when I paid the bill.) The chicken was so dried out that it was like shredded plastic and the breaded chicken pieces were chunks of fat instead of meat. read more

So, everyone I know that has moved south has told me the Chinese food down there s*^%s. The first place I take anyone that has moved south when they come up is out for Chinese. So I figured, what the hell, while I was "down south" I would take a walk on the wild side & try Chinese. I'll start with the good. All you can eat dinner buffet for $7.95! Really cute server. That's all. Now the bad, the food does s*&k. I can't figure out if the owners & chefs all came from the same county, why is the food so different. The buffet seems huge down there. Lots of local stuff like craw fish. The stuff we're familiar with chicken fingers, fried shrimp, rangoons etc. All so different, if available at all. And those that know me know I like my Mai Tai's. I spent quite some time perusing the phone book to make sure they had more than beer & wine. They even listed mixed drink prices in their add & on the menu. But when I ordered a Mai Tai I was told just beer & wine. What made it even worse was they decorated the shelving behind the front counter with pints of booze. Anyone down south that has never been north. It's worth the trip to the Boston area just for Chinese food. read more

Overall great Chinese buffet. My husband prefers buffets, and it's not always easy to find decent Chinese buffet that offers good selection & food. This has both, 3 rows of buffet to choose from & food was hot & fresh & had good selection. Waitress was quick to clear plates from table & refill drinks as needed. Prices were good too, $5.95 for adult lunch buffet & kids were $3.95. We will be back when in area. read more

I have eaten here several times and really enjoy the food. (That is usually me hanging around the buffet waiting for the salt & pepper shrimp to be refilled.) Today I sat in the back near the waitress section and couldn't help but notice what had to be the filthiest carpet I have ever seen in a restaurant. We eat here frequently. The food is tasty and there is a great selection. Most of the time it is hot. There is everything from cold shrimp, mussels and sushi to peppered shrimp, crab rangoon, Mongolian pork, shrimp and cabbage, salad, and dessert. There is wonton soup, hot and sour soup, and egg drop soup. They fill the pans frequently and there is rarely an outage. If they are out of something, you just need to ask and they will quickly refill it. read more
