I don't know how this restaurant can have 4.6 stars. The food was below average. The steam pork/shrimp dumpling was ok (eatable). The spicy cold chicken was bad. I am not sure how long the chicken was store in their refrigerator. It was very chewy. It doesn't taste like chicken. Sweet and sour soup was too dark and not very tasty. This place is awesome-conveniently located downtown Eugene but not a tourist trap, it's a legitimately popular and great place! I'm sad that I only went to Jade once during my visit. Jade is open until 10pm (super convenient) and we went there to order to-go around 8pm. They were busy, but once we ordered, our food was ready in less than 10 minutes. I am a big fan of Dan Dan noodle and I try them whenever I have a chance to. Theirs was perfect for me. It is spicy, but bearable level for me. Generous amount for the price. More authentic feel. I loved watching a lady making dim sum in the front. I was going to go back once more and try them, but I was not able to. It is on my "need to visit again" list of Eugene. Have been wanting to come here for a while, finally came with my boyfriend today! Food was great, very filling. Prices are fair I feel for the portions you get. You can easily share everything. It's a very quiet restaurant, could really be for anyone, I saw a solo person, families and couples. As far as service goes, honestly it was just fine. They brought the bill out maybe within like 25ish minutes of getting the food which I thought was kind of weird? They weren't really even busy to be rushing us out or anything, but I definitely felt rushed once we got the bill and they asked if we wanted boxes. I think anyone would feel rushed like that. Came here for lunch and was seated promptly though I noticed that this place quickly filled up and had people waiting to be seated when we were leaving. The fried rice was on the greasy side but it wasn't salty and was very flavorful. We were a little surprised with the sweet and sour pork as it's not cooked to what we have been used to in smaller pieces with at least bell peppers and pineapple. This one was just coated fried pork chops with a sweet and sour sauce. The highlight here are their bao and shomai. Will have to come back here and try other dishes. read more

Service was slow and it was difficult to get their attention. We ordered the broccoli beef & General Tso's chicken, which I thought were both overly salty and over-sauced. The shrimp fried noodles were fine--the amount of cabbage to noodle ratio was balanced, 3 pieces of shrimp came with the dish. Hands down the best winter comfort food available in Eugene (and just darn good any time)!

The people in front of me found a small blue piece of plastic in their sesame balls, they told the server and she was very rude. She quickly interrupted and said that it's not their fault because it comes frozen from another company. She kept saying it's not normal and it's the other company's fault and recommended they put it in the box to take home because only one of them had the plastic in it. After that my food was brought to the table, I got the tomato egg noodles and it tasted really gross so I asked if we could trade it for something else or get a refund and I was refused and very rudely asked to pay full price, after that she was cleaning a table a few feet away and telling me not to order something if I haven't tried it and seemed very frustrated. Suuuper rude lady and horrible customer service, her manager was nicer and gave us 2 random bottled ice teas. read more

I came to Eugene on a business trip from Seattle WA. I wanted to find a local Chinese restaurant through yelp. I saw that this restaurant's rating was very high, so I decided to try it. When I walked into this restaurant for the first time, I felt an elegant environment. The atmosphere in the restaurant was warm, and the staff was very warm and thoughtful, which made me feel at home! What amazes me most is the taste of the dishes in the restaurant, which is very authentic Chinese! Recommendation: Dumplings, steamed buns and other noodles (I forgot to take a picture surrounded by delicious food). Northeast ribs stewed bean curd are very delicious! Next time I come to Eugene, this restaurant will be my must-visit restaurant. Yelp's score is really reliable! read more

Absolutely fabulous! Their second Eugene location is another great success. We ordered four kinds of dumplings and an order of marvelous string beans. Very very special. This new location has quite a few additional items on the menu since the bigger kitchen offers new scrumptious opportunities to order. It's all great here. World class dumplings at an extremely reasonable price served and created by such very nice people. The place is comfortable, clean and fantastically tasty. I didn't even know there was another location besides the tiny one on Willamette Street. So glad, since this place is much bigger and roomier and has more menu choices. Unfortunately that also greatly increases the noise levels and having a screaming small toddler sitting next to our open booth did not make for a relaxing experience. However, the food was good. We shared steamed buns with spicy pork , 6 of them to an order. They were good but not very spicy. We had the garlic green beans which were absolutely Devine in taste and texture. And General Tso's chicken which was a royal helping of chicken in sweet and spicy sauce. The spicy side was definitely overwhelming the sweet side and the order of white rice that we ordered with it was helpful to tame it down a bit. Service was attentive but not overbearing, our water glasses were being refilled regularly. Nice dinner out with the hubby (just wish it was minus the neighboring toddler) . We were so hungry, but also in our early 60s, so we started small and decided to order the scallion pancakes for $6.99. It came in 8 pieces and was crunchy and delicious!
