No one can save us but ourselves. No one can and no one may. We ourselves must walk the path."…read moreBuddha Life is but a dream that we walk! We all know that in the teachings of the Buddhist Philosophy, "life is suffering." As we walk the waking "dream," that we call the reality of our individual lives and existence we encounter many experiences along the way . Many of our paths take us through suffering each and every day. It is these small features that when we overcome we can further understand life and reach our potential. Always remember to never dwell on the suffering of an event. Certain challenges will arise. When we overcome these obstacles we can analyze and self reflect. For dreams are meant to happen and be fulfilled with purpose using positivity. When we are ready to face our own challenges we must step outside of ourselves. We must learn to accept that which life manages to give us . Let's take this opportunity to take life and its actions as they come. As an American citizen during my lifelong journey and struggle the Buddhist path has always drawn my attention. It's the most profound understanding of how to explain the life cycle of humanity. On this same note, death; is a natural phenomenon and not the end. When someone passes on it's a transition of your consciousness to another place of existence. While we may not be able to explain this path it is the realization that you must live for now. You need to make sure and keep yourself aware of how your mind and body coexist. So life is suffering. We awake each and every day to a new day. We have new opportunities and events to explore. Lately pain, strife, anxiety exist in my heart. Looking deep inside I will find my happy. Although this is a struggle to overcome this moment in your life you will come out stronger and more confident. Carry yourself and continue the good fight. Life is pain and a struggle, so is it worth it? This has to be a private matter and decision to continue. Keep positivity and joy in your heart and mind. Give kindness freely and you will be able to rise to all the challenges that come your way . After all that I have faced over a lifetime of suffering and pain we are going to make all the best of it happen with beauty and grace for all. Here we go . Take my hand and love will flow freely to you!

Through ClassPass, I signed up for a Friday night Slow Flow & Yin Sound Bath with Polly Whittaker. It was one of the best yoga classes I've ever taken. I cried. Let me be clear: I'm picky about virtually everything in an exercise class. From sequences and pacing to the music, lighting and (most importantly) the instructor's approach, I am the opposite of chill -- because why would I pay to exercise outside of my house when I could do it at home for free? If the instructor gives too much or too little direction, makes me feel rushed, isn't trauma-informed / doesn't make the class accessible for all, has a voice or a vibe that doesn't sit right with me, emphasizes "working out" over mindfulness and connection, uses vocabulary I find grating (the word "yummy" to describe a stretch is a big offender) ... you get it -- I'm checked out. (Yes, I know this is a character flaw; yes, I am working on it!) To my immense joy, Yoga Sanctuary hit it out of the park for me on every level. Polly is such a gifted guide. Every word felt intentional, grounded and thoughtfully paced. I could have mistaken her instruction for one of the pre-recorded, meticulously edited guided meditations I listen to; she was that good. But what I really appreciated was how balanced the class felt. Nothing was totally riffed or overly structured. There was deep stretching and light strength-building, but there were also moments of deep connection and presence threaded throughout the 75-minute session. The sound bath and yoga nidra elements toward the end were just dreamy. Some people might prefer a more vigorous experience, but for me, this was exactly how a yoga class should feel. Props to the studio itself, too. The front desk staff were welcoming and helpful. Dim lighting and candles in the room set a soothing tone, and there were plenty of props to go around and space to spread out. I came here expecting to stretch and breathe for an hour. I left transformed, feeling connected to myself and the world around me again, nourished from the inside out. What a gift. I can't wait to return again and again.

Including dementia, diabetes, heart and kidney disease. When I made the decision to get a Shamanic Healing at Enchanted Forest Reiki Center in Las Vegas, I was not just a burnout caregiver. I was someone with a trauma history and more than 25 years of struggling with depression and anxiety. This wasn't my first experience with Shamanism. I had a previous soul retrieval many years ago. My previous experience set the bar high. I really wasn't sure what I might get from my session at the center. Deb Veah was my practitioner. As we began discussing my concerns, my first reaction was that I was not only being heard, I was being SEEN. Over the next hour and a half, I felt a calm that I have haven't felt in more than 25 years. The session not only addressed my immediate concerns, it gave me renewed energy and hope. i wish that I had the words to fully express the depth of my experience. My healing with Deb gave me the lifeline that I've needed to not only continue taking care of my mother. It gave me the restoration of spirit that I need to take care of myself.
