Jacoby Funeral Home I believe now has a new name and goes by Casada Funeral Home & Crematory. Both listings for Jacoby and Casada have the same address when you Google them so they are at the same location and the name we became familiar with was Casada.
I am sure funeral homes deal with all types of timing issues. Some things may need to materialize and get planned very quickly while other situations there may be more time to utilize as far as making arrangements and how a funeral service is going to be constructed.
In the case of my father who recently passed things were of more of a urgent nature ( My dad did not wish to be embalmed hence for a service and burial be performed in a more prompt manner) and the staff here were extremely flexible and offered themselves to be reached at practically any time. That was very beneficial as more concrete plans were being laid out for when the service may be.
My family and I liked the selection of caskets that were available and we picked a casket that was made locally I believe made out of material from old wooden barns and we really liked the windmill and countryside image that was inside the casket.
We did a combination of logos and themes for the pamphlets and bookmarks involved for the service and did not stick with just one theme for everything. Images (pictures) of my father within the pamphlet was generated in a very professional manner and made an excellent tribute to him and the kinds of things that he loved.
Arrangements for the service at the Saratoga Cemetery was made very smoothly and efficiently as far as getting the time to use the pavilion building at the cemetery. Nothing to to with the funeral home but there was a bit of a hiccup as to what plot my father was to be buried in but that was more of the mapping and concerns from the cemetery as opposed to the funeral home. But regardless that part got sorted out.
The staff from Casada was there and were extremely supportive and helpful for the entire duration of the service and afterwards and that was very much appreciated not only by my mother but also with the rest of the family. read more
