I had requested assembly of a kitchen sink cabinet. The response and quote were quick. Larry came…read moreout the next day and was very pleasant and did a good job putting together a poorly constructed cabinet. Unfortunately, the sink I wanted to use didn't fit safely but he did everything he could to accommodate my requests. He takes pride in his work and I would recommend him to anyone.

Oh my goodness. These people are horrible. I hired the to install tile. The first week, they…read moresent a person , 1 person despite saying it would be a "crew". The man did not bring proper tools, kept saying he would, never did, and I ended up buying the tool to try and expedite. Owner never tried to provide tools needed and blamed the guy he hired. Week one was spent taking up 200 sq ft of old floor but not all the motar. Power said he had aa crew down with prior job. Could start Monday. I would have all three. I had 3 guys half a day. Ended up one guy, everyone else gone. Poor communication. One day I am told "tomorrow, final demo and dry fitting cement board. Didn't happen. There was another day of demo and some incorrect dry fitting. This is the point at which I said no more. What really sent me over the edge was they turned my water off on Wednesday and I advised multiple times I had an appointment and needed to leave by 230. The owner was supposed to come back before I.Left and turned the water back on. He texted me at two twenty seven and said he was about twenty minutes away. I was so mad and I had to go, so I did if they were. Said he'd come back that night later from Bloomington. I guess and turn the water back on, but I said, forget it. I tried to do it myself, and I couldn't, so I spent a night without water. It is so disrespectful, in my opinion to tell somebody. You will be there before they leave. But then don't be there, and they end up having a night without any water. I had new flooring company come out who said as they looked in the bathroom that they had broken my plumbing pipe. Now I have to have that replaced and have a drywall person in to fix that. I asked for a refund of the unspent.Amount I had paid up front. The owner is giving me the run. Around and now he won't respond at all. I have a lot of texts that show everything i'm saying, if anybody wants to see them. The owner told me that I have very unrealistic expectations. That could be true. But when the new flooring guys told me what it would take to fix the problems this company caused, it's less time than these guys already spent here. One of the workers for this company also told me that the they have been working on a job in Champaign for a month and a half, and they're nowhere near done. That's unverified by me. But now I have to sue this guy to get my money back. Also to get money for the plumbing that they damaged. And the drywall repair, which is another three hundred and fifty dollars. Beware. The values you read on their website which say what they are committed to are absolutely untrue, as it relates to my experience with them.

Repeated attempts for communication from Koss ceased after being told that a replacement door would be installed in "two weeks." That was January. How can I recommend a so called remodeler for a tub to shower conversion that looks as though it was assembled by an amateur? The shower door is a misfit and there are still areas without sealant. Again, something Michael Koss promised he would take care of. Maybe they do have a specialty, but bathroom renovations isn't one of them.

So many mistakes...no accountability…read more I hired Michael for a bathroom remodel which went okay...grade B. My first renovation. Followed up with a kitchen remodel 2 months later. Incorrect measurements for cabinets, changed install layout as a result with no communication, needed to reorder cabinets as a result with little compensation, ordered wrong sink and replaced it with a substandard one as a result, poor floor install (I'm learning how many errors were made as I'm now needing to replace it). I'm spending additional money now rectifying mistakes. Needed a plumber to redo kitchen sink plumbing which was installed incorrectly. Now hiring a flooring company to replace floor (installed floating planks under cabinets, did not put subfloor down so planks are splitting and many soft spots.) Seemed to always have an answer for my concerns. Placating? Did not answer texts or calls. I trusted this company and paid a lot of money. I'm needing to spend more money on their mistakes.

Made sure to be clear at the time that we needed people to be masked in our home, due to having multiple immunocompromised family members. Person that came out to look it over and provide a quote was nice, but incredibly flaky. How flaky? Well we bought the home at the end of last year, and we only just got the final info on the quote in mid-june. But contractor's, right? But it gets worse. They absolutely refused to have their workers wear masks in our home while the work was being done. On what would be a week long set of projects, while we work from home. Either one of these alone would be bad enough, but combined it means we were asked to wait around for six months to just be told to put our lives in danger for the comfort of their workers. Completely unreasonable and disrespectful, and I cannot stress how much this has cost us in time and energy. Maybe you don't care about masking, but if they refuse to even make as small a concession as that for incredibly patient customers, ask yourself what kind of respect they'll have for your simple requests. I must, in the most stringent terms, recommend you not waste your time here.
