He started to look really gray around the gills so I brought him to Dr. Craig who is part owner and let me tell you the receptionist the technicians and the doctor all extremely cordial and full of information they were able to put my cat on fluids and gave him an appetite suppressant which he will be on and I cannot believe it when my cat walked into our home he was meowing like he wanted to eat so I fed him and walla!!! He was feeling so much better! If I had the information we have now we would not have recommended him or even chosen this doctor. We still want to know what happened during our boy's dentistry. Why was he intubated instead of sedated, was he improperly intubated or extubated and why was his abnormal blood work disregarded? Also, he was misdiagnosed with a collapsed trachea but not verbally. We were told it was cat asthma but the receipt read collapsed trachea. Luckily we had an immediate second opinion who advised the xray was taken in such a way that the trachea, esophagus and scapula were overlapping. He didn't have tracheal collapse or asthma so the expensive prescriptions weren't warranted or needed.

And about things being expensive, then maybe you shouldn't have pets. Animals are living creatures and just like us, they get sick, or need shots, surgery, medicine and sometimes a special diet. These expenses and special care are are sometimes inevitable as a pet owner. Anyways about a month ago, one of our puppies was bit and needed emergency attention. We usually go to Howell Animal Hospital but the vet was gone for the day and we didn't want to drive over an hour away so we went here. The front desk staff were quick and accommodating even though we had never been there. They were able take her in and Dr. Larrosa was able to do emergency surgery and even stayed late to take care of her. Everyone here is so awesome, they truly care about animals and making sure they are taken care of. The follow up was great as well, the staff consistently checked in with us. Throughout the healing process we sent some photos of the stitches and surgery area to Dr. Larrosa with questions or concerns and he was very informative and reassuring. We can't thank them enough for taking such good care of our little Pomeranian Bella! She is almost all better now and know it was thanks to the awesome vet and staff team here.

I was a client at the past 3-4 year and this time we will need to spay one off my poppy and they are wanting to charge over 2400$ for the surgery. The average coast in New Jersey 300-700$. They was charging 425$ for x-ray and doctor was recommended a blood test for around 250is and the stuff member was telling us to wait till Monday when they can do the surgery. And they was telling us the emergency services will be double or triple off this price! If I will not make the calls I will never found out we will getting way overpriced. I don't have any problems to pay premium for a good service but this is disgusting. You guys are playing with people and our best friends life!

I've been going to this Vet. for the last 4.5 years and although they are more expensive than any…read morevet in the area, I always had a good experience with them until today. I had scheduled an appointment to have my dog's nails trimmed because she can be very difficult and requires sedation. I was told that if they were unable to cut her nails, more sedation would be required and possibly putting the dog under anesthesia. During the visit the doctor was incredibly rough and at no point did he stop to suggest that more sedation is needed. Once he finished cutting my dog's nails, I had noticed that her nail was bleeding at the base. I made the doctor aware, he took a look at it and he said "she would be fine and there's nothing to worry about." 2 days later as I'm walking my dog I noticed she was limping and found her nail to be completely ripped out and bleeding. Once I stopped the bleeding I called the vet immediately to make an appointment. I was told that I could not be seen for 4 days and that I would be responsible for the bill. They referred me to Garden State Vet. This is completely unprofessional and I am shocked that this is how they treat their customers. I would not recommend this place to anyone!

A few weeks later my dog is still coughing so the medicine didn't work. My bill was fairly high and now working with them and the insurance company is very frustrating. They refuse to send me the soap notes, therefore the insurance company needed to ask for a request, which they asked weeks ago. I had to call multiple times on top of my insurance company calling multiple times for the soap notes. They still have not sent the soap notes over to the insurance company and we are going on a month after she was seen. Every day is another excuse! Now I will be going over to the vet in person to speak to someone. I will not be using them ever again. My other vet sent me the soap notes the minute I asked for them which I downloaded onto my insurance app and I got paid the next day.

I was actually scared to leave my dog there, but being new to the area and not knowing any better, I did. I was charged $70 yes, you read it, to groom a toy size dog. She tried to make extra money off of me by giving the bogus excuse that there was "fine print" on her coupon. My dog came back scared and with ribbons in a male dogs ears. They took a year and a dav to cut out. I wouldn't be surprised if she learned how to groom from YouTube.
