From April until mid June, when I fired him, he had only been to the house a total of 4 times. The original quote was a 3 week time frame. I was overly reasonable with the slow pace. I bought the guys lunch gave the owner an expensive bottle of bourbon attempting to facilitate quality work. It became clear that the project was being botched and I ultimately fired him. When parting ways I wished to pay them for what had been done correctly and receive the rest of my money back minus any damages to the house that needed to be fixed. Jeff returned 3k out of the 6 that was given for a job that was to total 10k. He falsely stated he had 2.1k worth of materials. These supposed materials he kept minus the garbage shower pan and broken cement board that I am pending removing from my house. I am ultimately out 3k for the only satisfactory part of the job being the demolition. Everything else will need to be ripped out and redone. Do yourself a favor. Hire a licensed and insured professional that will do a good job. 1. He is not a licensed contractor or plumber. His crew will damage your house every time they step foot inside. I have walls cabinets and a window seal that I am left to fix. Jeff stated he would take care of it before being fired. If he cannot do quality plumbing and shower construction I have no faith in his ability to fix what he isn't "specialized" in. 5. The quality of work and supplies used are atrocious. I have attached pictures to show how every piece of cement board put up is cracked in all 4 edges. The shower pan that supposedly took a month to custom make and cost "1.5k" was nothing more than resin pieces screwed into one another and "waterproofed" by slapping on silicone caulk. A wall was built that was not properly anchored and has movement when pressure is applied. His guys managed to purchase the wrong tile. I picked out tile early on and these guys showed up with an entirely different tile. They then attempted to coerce me into using it. 6. His price is very high and he will ask you for a ridiculous 60% up front. This in retrospect was a red flag. I however unfortunately trusted Jeff because he was recommended by a friend. I did not get a refund proportional to the work that was gone. Jeff held the cash and challenged me to sue him. He additionally would not return any funds until I brought him the supplies for my project that I paid for. He obviously re used these supplies on other jobs or returned them for cash.

I do not believe the company is going to refund my money. How does a company figure the bill wrong; state they are going to give you a refund check; and does not follow through refunding your overpayment? I had a lot of faith in them for many years, not anymore. I have never had a company treat me in this manner.

DO NOT HIRE PRIDE PLUMBING…read more I had Pride come out last friday because of a clogged toilet and water backing up into my tub. First the technician spent 2 hrs outside claiming that he could fix the problem that way. When that didn't work, he then had to do a much more expensive job where he removed the toilet and tried pumping from inside. that worked for a few days however the exact same issues happened just a few days later. Now, I was told that the job was under warranty and that if we had ANY issues to call them back and they would fix them right away. I called, and was immediately told we'd be charged again. Apparently, only the resetting of the toilet was under warranty. According to the man I spoke to (Steve) "anyone could just throw something in the toilet and clog it up again" My wife and I live alone with no children. No one threw anything in the toilet other than tissue and waste. Once again, do not hire Pride Plumbing unless you want to be lied to, and have the exact same issues pop up again in a few days, where they will try to charge you again.
