Was knowledgeable enough and reasonably priced, we were customers for years. Then last year we had…read moresome changes and after our taxes were done there were questions. I was ghosted and after multiple calls, Dillon never responded back to me! I don't operate that way and have since found another tax preparer.

This past May the state of Minnesota garnished her refund for overpayment of her property tax refund. She asked me to help her figure out why they did that. A quick call to the State of Minnesota (is there such a thing?) and I was informed that there was no return filed for her for 2021. I reached out to Dillon at Jasicki as he was the preparer that completed and signed her return. Always got the answering machine or left a message with the always pleasant lady that answered the phone. Once on May 19. Three times on May 27. Twice on June 3. Four times on June 4. Twice on June 6. Again on June 26. Twice on June 27. Concurrently during this stretch of time, I sent out numerous emails requesting information and seeking guidance. NOT ONE TIME DID I GET THE COURTESY OF A CALL BACK OR A RETURN EMAIL. I had to literally catch Chuck answering the phone almost 2 months into attempting to contact them to have a conversation with him. Extremely frustrating and disappointing given that she paid them to prepare and file, and interest and penalties accruing daily. So, what happened? They filed the federal return but it was not accepted for reasons not provided to her at the time. They did not even notify her that her return was not accepted. As the filer they got notice but failed to communicate directly with my daughter that they needed more information for the return to be accepted. It ended up being a 1095 health insurance form that was never discussed or requested when they prepared the return. When I finally got Chuck on the phone, he transferred me to Dillon and in 34 minutes we had it worked out. Simple right? All could have been handled at the time and saved the $435 in penalties and $257.08 in interest. I would ask them to cover the costs incurred due to their pathetic lack of follow up, but they don't answer emails or return phone calls. Do yourself a favor and have your taxes prepared elsewhere.

Totally agree with Les, this individual has issues. Had to bring my retired bookkeeper back in to fix things and she was almost in tears at the level of incompetence she found and needed to correct. That, coupled with Beth's tardiness, excessive personal phone time, indifference to training and general demeanor made our decision to terminate her easy.

Wanted to try someone close to home for the sake of convenience so I met with Beth. Somewhere in the middle of the process, Beth made statements to me about rules/regulations and requested sensitive documents that I hadn't been asked for before and I questioned them. Its in my nature to understand things fully. The response was not convincing and statements were contradictory to what I do know so I paused, went to gather more documents and returned. In the meantime I made time to learn more on the IRS website. Upon return I shared what I learned as it was contrary to what my new tax pro told me. Beth became combative and condescending in her tone. Not proud, but I argued back stating that I expect to hire a content expert and that my confidence was broken. Beth asked if I wanted my stuff back and I decided that would best. Soon after, I had papers tossed back at me, was accused of attempting to commit tax fraud, had my profession used to insult me in some way I still don't understand and was told to get out of her office. On my way down the stairs, A loud "I don't take any shit" was heard (sorry to everyone having dinner downstairs). Was I a model customer? No. I have high expectations and can ask a lot of questions. I expect transparency, expertise and professionalism from those I choose to do business with. This experience failed on all three of those.
