JITB food is either a guilty pleasure or road kill. Today, road kill. Junk Food Fiesta was our objective. Abuse of Oil was the theme. The breakfast burrito was in a big, fresh flour tortilla. It delivered generously on the jalapeño front, but it was oily. The tacos and the egg rolls were over-browned, soggy and lukewarm because - hello - the oil temp was off. There was no syrup with the mini-pancakes. Yes, I said mini-pancakes. Don't get judgy. It was a fiesta. The root beer was bangin' though, ice cold and foamy. I also have breaking news for you: Jack Uses Tissue-Paper-Thin Bags! Write that down! Because as the peppy cashier swings said bag through your window, the energy released when it RIPS FROM TOP TO BOTTOM will CATAPULT the contents toward you at warp speed like a meteor shower. That semester of physics comes to life in one unforgettable moment. Yes indeedy. All before ten in the morning. I might be on a little JITB vay-cay for a while, but I'll go back. Jack's eclectic menu when it's prepared well is a good value and the kooky promotions are fun. This trip we got $1 Christmas ornaments of Jack's ubiquitous head.
