I first bought an item from Jack First in 1962. I was 12 yrs old and had just received a Remington 22 rifle for Christmas. Through 1994 when Jack moved the business I went in there to buy parts, ammo and use the indoor range. I knew Jack's three Daughters Sue, Gail and Nancy. A classy family for sure. Someone mentioned price gouging and I have one incident with Mrs. First that comes to mind. I had broken the bolt handle on that very 22 that I mentioned earlier. I went upstairs to parts and ask Mrs. First if she had a new bolt. She brought a bright new one out and asked me if I had some attachment to the rifle. She then mentioned that the bolt was new old stock and would cost me 8 times what my dad had paid for the rifle. She then advised me to take the bolt and handle downstairs to Steve in gun smithing and he would weld it for $8. Very fair company in the 33 years that I traded there. I'm from Tennessee and hunted a part for a revolver I own for 20 years. Called Jack's First, and within 4 days had the part, and it was the original part. After that I ordered the three catalogs they sold. The revolver belonged to my uncle. Thanks Jack's First !! I'm 77 years old , and I was shooting this revolver when I was 9 years old.
