Rio gave me an incredible pedicure--10/10 experience from start to finish! The whole place has such a relaxing, chill vibe, and the staff are all amazing. Midway through my appointment, an upset customer came in and caused a bit of a scene... and I have to say, I was blown away by how the team handled it. I didn't catch the gentleman's name that did my pedicure but it was amazing & I felt brand new after not getting one on in an embarrassingly long time. I tried to make an appointment online. Links weren't working. I walked in. they asked if I had an appointment, I explained that I tried. Thank goodness they had a young guy available who could do my pedicure. I haven't been to Jabooda for probably 5-6 years. As I had my feet soaking, I shared with the guy I recently stubbed my toe and lost a nail but it's growing back. I asked if he could leave it alone and do the rest of them. He abruptly said, "I'm an expert, let me do my job, I know how to do this." Oh my, I've never had any nail technician speak to me this way. He never says a word unless I made a connect. All I ask of anyone doing any kind of a job, be nice, respectful, to those who are your customers. I wasn't being demanding at all. Just wanted to protect my nail that was trying to heal. My husband wanted to surprise me with an anniversary/birthday gift by getting pedicure and manicures done together! But silly him forgot that most places can't just take in walk-ins and they need appointments made. But we walked into Jabooda hoping maybe they had some availability, and they made room for us very kindly and patiently! So I did walk in but they were occupied so told me to come another time. So please tell me what is the point of walk in if there is no availability?! I tried to make an appointment since I do not trust their walk in but they refused to make an appointment even though they take $30 deposit for any appointments. Also, this woman whom I was talking with was interrupting me while I was still talking. I was very upset at their service even though I did get my nails done for multiple times. Jabooda salon is highly priced,​ and average price​. Firs,​t it is clean, the tools are sanitized using an autoclave, and the salon is very welcoming. I stopped in on my vacation.​ They fixed a very poor nail job I had done elsewhere. My nails look better than I can ever remember. I also love the nail art for my pedicure. My only complaint would be the pedicure water is a bit on the cool side but that is an easy fix if you ask for hotter water. read more

It's been a little while since I've been to this nail salon . I remember they always did a great job took their time cut the nails and really pampered you that used to do foot massages when they put the lotion and they used to have the paraffin wax and I went back to the salon after not going for a while and I was in and out it didn't really cut my nails didn't cut the dead skin and everything else my feet used to feel refreshed when I used to come out of the nail salon and they're still sore and they hurt and wasn't much of a relief getting my pedicure today . I remember I used to go to the salon you should take an hour I was in and out of there in 35 minutes . The person doing the pedicure had complete control of my chair so I couldn't even put it up so I was kind of sitting up I felt like I was almost laying in the chair completely uncomfortable and my legs were completely stretched out straight that my knees are starting to hurt it was a terrible experience I would never go back there again and I honestly I wouldn't recommend them to anybody it was the worst pedicure experience I've ever had and I'm 54 years old I've been doing pedicures for a long time and huge disappointment. read more

DONT GO HERE So I made an appt and they said they had to take my credit card for $21 in case I cancelled which has never happened there before. I have never had to use a credit card to reserve an appt. It's not like they r some upscale nail salon. They having a lot of cancellations because they suck. I don't know y ppl go there anyways. I walk in early and literally all 5 techs are sitting together just chatting. The owner takes me cuz I think he gets first customers or something. I get ombré full acrylic set. Menu online says $60. He rushes Thru the whole damn thing and has no client before or after me. He's n a hurry to go home. My appt is at 4:00 and they close at 6:00. I ask for a design. They aren't mirror images of each other so it's a screw up. Especially for someone that owns a salon. This is for my wedding and literally there r now maybe 2 other clients there, so no reason to rush. Business is slow but they lie and say it's busy. Oh and he tells me it's $65. Menu says $60. These ppl will dime and nickel you wherever they can. There is a tiny plus sign in front of the prices. Prolly so they can change them at will. I checked price again but before I could argue he had already left to go home at 5:00. Don't let these ppl take ur $ and do whatever they want, u must stick up for urself. Then this older lady does my pedicure. She rushes Thru it and she's literally on her phone the whole time which is highly unprofessional. At one point I had to take an important phone call and I couldn't hear them because my nail tech was so loud on her phone. Then I go to pay and this guy says it's a $1 extra because they ran my credit card for $20 to save this appt. And they charge a credit card fee of $1. I was never told this over the phone. Then they run my credit card a second time for the appt for today minus the $21 but I'm not charged a fee this time. Huh? Makes no sense. A lady before me that paid also made an appt so they had run her credit card for the $21 but then they didn't use that credit towards her appt. They told her they assumed it would be their tip. Who does that!! I left ZERO tip!!!! *overpriced (a fill on ombré acrylics is $55?!!!) *unprofessional *crappy rushed work *dont make an appt and use credit card, trust me u can walk in. The first time I had my nails done there, Tom did a good job. I went back 1.5 weeks later for a fill and I got a new guy named Alvis and he did a horrible job. He cut my finger and blamed it on my having "thin skin". No buddy, you slipped while holding the tools and cut my skin. I have lumps on my nails, he didn't make them smooth enough and they look deformed almost. He also didn't file them down on the sides very well, so I have rigged edges. It was an all around horrible experience. I was trying to give him the benefit of the doubt.. but I don't think I'll ever go back there read more

I got my nails done by Tom and it was the most amazing experience. He was nice, patient and very precise with his work. He made sure my nails looked amazing and were perfectly shaped and filed down. My nails did take a little over an hour and a half, and with the detail and shape of the nail I could tell why he took so long. I am very pleased with the work Tom did. They never applied it. $100.00 for it all including tip. They said if anything happens in there next week they would fix for free. Wouldn't you know, 10 days later, a nail broke. Worst experience I've ever had at a nail salon. Got a dip set, and 2 nails chipped within 3 days. Came in to get them fixed, like they offered, and they literally fixed just the two nails. Now I have completely different colored nails, and they proceeded to make me feel like it's my fault because I didn't remember the color number. Do your job right the first time, and you wouldn't have to worry about your "7 day guarantee." read more

Terrible terrible terrible experience. Save your money. You'd do better painting your own nails. The guy was rude & did a horrible job. My nails are thick & bulbous. I was treated very poorly, hurried & have the clunky nails to prove it. At that, they overcharged me, but I was so uncomfortable & humiliated that I just wanted to leave as soon as possible. For me it's not how they look the moment you walk out of the salon. How long do they last and how well they hold up are top on my list. Getting nails done is not cheap these days and I try to do them once a month. JABOODA is literally the only place I go that can make my nails last all month. I have been going there 2 years now. In that time I will say I have had 1or 2 times where the gel has all chipped off. I have learned it's about how long the gel is in the uv light. You want more then one round. I will say they are pricey so if you do get a bad job it is a bummer. But we all have good and bad days:) My photo is after a month so don't mind the grow out. And yes my nails grow really slow. read more

This was my 2nd pedicure. Both times were at Jabooda and a great experience. In my past life as a Chef my feet took a beating. The collagen foot treatment has relaxed and softened my heels. Both times I have been with my wife and it is truly a great couples activity. Mia was my technician and she spent extra time making sure my feet were good to go for the golf course. I would highly recommend this spa for anyone looking for an above expectations experience. We will be back . read more

Update: Nail polish lasted less than 6 days- all nails chipped, cracked or peeled off except one pinkie by the following Wednesday... not impressed. Booked an appointment the day before and got in after 5 minutes wait. Options for colours were very plentiful and it was priced at standard for a shellac manicure ($35) They did have sanitised tools but no one wiped down the station between the previous guest and myself as well as the room was quite messy with boxes everywhere piled on the floor and the sink I washed my hands in was not very clean. My manicurist cut a finger tip callus I had with a pair of nail clippers without asking or mentioning she was going to do it which I wasn't impressed with as it hurt quite badly. My main issue was that the quality of the polish seemed off - the thickness of the gel was not the same as shellac I've had elsewhere and I noticed she used the same bottle of clear polish as both the primer and the gel topcoat, my nails are quite thinly coated and after one day are already bending which has never happened before. This is not a high end spa type experience, it's more basic; no hot towels or any cuticle oil was applied. It just wasn't a relaxing experience at all. read more

I am really surprised the last time I looked at the Yelp profile of this place it was less than four stars. The inside is very luxurious and all the equipment/furniture looked updated and new. I showed the nail tech a picture of the nails I wanted and he executed it perfectly making my nails the shape I wanted with an even appearance all around. At the end of our trip they even gifted us with free hand lotion. Definitely worth giving this place a try! read more

I would give you a 0 star if I could. I got my nails cut recently and 3 of my cuticles are bleeding several hours later. Several as in nine hours later. I will never be returning besides to get my refund. read more
