TL;DR: High-end laptop, motherboard failure. Official Dell parts were out of stock for months…read more Honest advice, no pressure, clean motherboard replacement. I'd use Tatums Tech Services again. My laptop suffered a motherboard failure. I had already diagnosed the issue and sourced the correct replacement part myself. While motherboards for this model are technically still listed on Dell's website, the official Dell parts were out of stock and expected to remain unavailable for at least several months. Between availability delays and pricing, it was clearly at the point where Dell would rather you replace the machine. A truly comparable new laptop of this caliber would have cost several thousand dollars, and my existing system includes a few higher-end features that aren't standard on current models. Jacob at Tatums Tech Services independently verified the diagnosis and also located a motherboard, but because it wasn't new, he was upfront and did not recommend using it. I appreciated that honesty instead of being pushed toward a questionable part or a forced upgrade. Once I confirmed the part I sourced, he completed the motherboard replacement cleanly and professionally. Communication was clear, the work was solid, and there was no upselling or pressure.
