The most amazing vintage furniture sets (yes, sets!) at very accessible prices. If only shipping them home wasn't that expensive!

This flagship store is operated by Cult, who are the dealers and manufacturers for other high end furniture such as Cappellini, Fritz Hansen and Magis. The prices of the pieces here are in the $500-$1000 mark for a good dining chair, but the quality and comfort means that you're buying an investment piece which will most likely increase in value over time. They also have the new "Wrong for Hay" range of homewares and office supplies, such as geometric nesting plates, magnetic cork paper clip holders and other items which would make great gifts and won't break the bank.

They stock a huge range from bric-a-brac to candles, scarves and kitchenalia, even sometimes lovely chinese painted furniture which I've never been able to work out how to get back home on the train. They used to be located in the old Midcity centre across the road, and to my mind have never replicated the lush and comfy feel of the old store. But the staff are always lovely, and they have sales where you can pick up a real bargain. When you're stuck for a last minute gift, it's the perfect place to rush in a find something slightly out of the ordinary.

They have a great range of home decor and small gifts you can use as a joke or on a serious note. I always come here for a last minute gift idea and it's great for secret santa parties. Make sure you walk through the whole store and look at everything. There are hidden gems everywhere and you might walk away with some pretty unique gifts.

I've been to many Officeworks stores around Sydney and unfortunately have found many of the customer service staff working on the floor here being quite unhelpful, unprofessional and ignorant. They hardly come to customers even though they're doing nothing. Even if a staff is busy with something other than serving a customer, they must approach to the new customer immediately to assist by leaving all other things aside. I often struggled to get hold of someone even though the store hardly had any customers at that time. Some of them were even quite rude as they were asked for assistance. Hope this will help improve the overall customer service situation. Regards, Arif

I can't really afford anything in them and I don't own a home to put anything they offer, but none the less it is fun to pretend. My favourite thing in Domo is their furniture, they sell the most amazing lounge suites, many of them other quite other worldly, I can picture a sophisticated, well dressed alien reclining on this kind of furniture. I would describe the lounge designs but they are so unique and innovative I honestly don't know how. They have the coolest display cabinet I have ever seen, consisting of uneven lopsided cubes it again follows the futuristic style they offer, yet it somehow does not seem over the top. This is such a great shop, if you have the budget it is must see.

All their products are by cutting edge designers, their products include funky lamps, there is one I particularly want called Blob M and is well a yellow blob of the letter M, and another amazing lamp constructed from oak and iron named Brave New World. Also they have really cute little gnome tables (the gnome sits holding up the table top) If you are looking to escape reality, make a new one. Go to Kartell and fast track your way to the future.

The hybrid shop consisting of female clothing, gifts, jewelry, accessories and home decor has everything you need to make you smile on the day to day. For me, some standouts were the strappy leather sandals on display as you walk into the store. With different varieties of tan, black and brown leather straps all woven in different ways, you could likely find your staple summer shoe among this bunch. I did, but because I didn't have over $100 at my disposal, I had to wink and walk away... making promises to come back (that I hope I can keep). Toward the back of the shop (up the stair, careful not to trip), I found my second little love: Parisian thread bracelets. Made simply out of thick thread and metallic beads and finished with small pompoms, these bracelets are as sweet as they come, and fairly affordable at that. But this place - Eco Outdoor - gets my into the 'I want' frame of mind again. I feel comfortable saying that too, I think it's because this place is of the eco conscious class. The people behind Eco Outdoor come from a landscape design and construction background. Quality, natural and simplicity are two word that come to mind when I see their stuff. At Eco Outdoor, not only do they purvey sustainable furniture, but also eco-friendly options for walling and flooring. When it comes to walling, this store has a remarkable selection of stone facades that are environmentally friendly and excellent at insulation. There are stone walls that recall the style of Provençal French, rural Spanish, and modern Australian architecture. The same goes for flooring, which can be constructed from a variety of beautiful stones and cotto tiles. Eco Outdoor sells everything you need for your patio. From chairs and tables to day beds and even beanbags, this furniture is unobtrusive and practical. I really love Eco Outdoor's main concept. They basically strive to make an authentic connection between man's construction and the natural raw materials found in the surrounding landscape. This organic style is essential to maintaining the integrity of the natural scene. As humans, we all live among nature and should always put some effort to minimize our footprint.
