In the Market hall there is a range of stalls, sadly not as many as there once was but I guess that's just a sign of the times. There is a very reputable butch - no they're 2 in fact. A fruit and veg stall, a pet shop, a ladies ahem undergarment stall as well as various clothes and gift shops, and as you would expect from a market - the prices are good! The Vaults downstairs are in comparison a fairly new addition the the market - but offer something different, the stalls, well more like teeny shops are incredibly interesting, from antiques to second hand 'retro' clothes there's even a America style shop selling cowboy hats and boots. They have a huge…read morerange of gifts for any occasion and I have found the staff to always be very friendly and do their very best to help whether I just want a card for 60p or a more expensive gift. I must say in the last year, especially the last few months, there have been a lot of changes for the better in the shop, and the cards have been updated with a lovely range that are a good price and different to everywhere else in this town. That and the moving around they've done makes the place seem even bigger. I would really recommend anyone to visit the shop, there are few with such a personal and individual touch nowadays.

The staff are very helpful and are able to advise if you have no idea about flowers. I recently ordered some for a colleague at work and requested 'cheerful' flowers and that is exactly how my colleague described what she received! I was also advised to wait a day for delivery to get a much better selection of flowers then I would have for my original choice. The shop is very small meaning there is limited stock on display so it wouldn't be my first choice if I wanted to buy a bunch of flowers but is definitely the place to go if you want something delivered.
