Jason, was great to work with when we added outlets to the second floor of our 100+ year old house…read morelast summer. He was able to run the wires without having to knock extra holes in our wood lath and plaster walls which was awesome. The cost was reasonable and he was very efficient in getting the work done. He was also able to walk through the routing and location placement with us to make sure that he would be able to do the work and it would suit our needs. Additionally when called about follow up questions he responded to our questions in hours not days. Definitely calling him back when we have more electrical work to do in the house.

I've worked with several contractors before, for a variety of home projects. Many contractors have…read morevaried in their professionalism, behavior, character, and skill set. Unfortunately, there was a misunderstanding in regards to establishing rapport with the company, & and an effort to resolve it respectfully (and financially). The, whom I assume is the owner, would not allow for a respectful resolution, & was condescending despite a legitimate miscommunication. I am grateful for the misunderstanding, in that it revealed who I would ultimately be giving my business to, & consider it an opportunity for someone who's character is more aligned with my own, & perhaps more deserving of the business. I'm a business owner myself, and I wouldn't have conducted myself in the manner I was faced with based on a misunderstanding- which happens in every industry (countless times in my own profession, & with other contractors I've hired)- the way I was here. Perhaps the owner was having a bad day, in which I wish him better days ahead.

Randy's Electric and Plumbing did an outstanding job installing my Tesla charger in my new garage…read more The quality of the work was top notch, and everything was done cleanly and professionally. The team was easy to work with, showed up on time, and made sure everything was set up perfectly before wrapping up. If you need electrical work done right the first time, I highly recommend Randy's.

This is my second Yelp review for Randy's Electric because my first one mysteriously vanished. I…read moredon't know how or why, but based on everything I've experienced, I wouldn't be surprised if they try to bury negative feedback. Their Google reviews are almost perfect -- yet everyone I've talked to says the exact same thing: their real-life service does NOT match their ratings. Maybe some reviews are real, but certainly not all. Now for my experience, which was absolutely infuriating: Jeremy came to my home and quoted me $2,700 just to convert two lights into ceiling fans and replace one GFCI outlet. The prices they charged were beyond ridiculous: $300 for ONE GFCI $150 for a simple light switch $500 EACH for two fan brackets ($1,000 total) -- brackets that cost $23 retail That's not a markup. That is taking advantage of people. Their behavior was just as bad as their pricing. They show all prices on an iPad. When I was on the phone asking someone if this sounded normal, Jeremy literally snatched the iPad out of my hand the second I finished talking. He guarded that iPad like his life depended on it because he knew the pricing was outrageous. Completely disrespectful and incredibly unprofessional. I asked for an itemized invoice with real part numbers and real labor charges. Jeremy told me, "I'll email it to you." I still have nothing. The only invoice I received was written in vague "units" -- a convenient way to avoid transparency and hide price gouging. And the worst of all: They quoted me $19,000 -- yes, NINETEEN THOUSAND DOLLARS -- to upgrade my electrical panel from a split 60/120 amp setup to a standard 200 amp box. Other electricians quoted between $2,500-$4,500. Randy's Electric wasn't just high -- they were five to seven times the normal price. That is predatory and absolutely shameful. The owner even came out trying to justify the $500 brackets by saying they "add a yellow tag to every bracket." Later I learned that the yellow tag is just the manufacturer's tag that comes with the bracket. Nothing more. Another excuse. Another lie. Since this happened, I've talked to so many people -- and not a single person has had a positive experience with this company. Everyone says the same thing: overpriced, shady, rude, and preying on people who don't know electrical costs. Jeremy and the owner should be ashamed of themselves for the way they treat people and for the way they conduct business. It is absolutely disgusting behavior. Randy's Electric preys on the unknowledgeable, the vulnerable, and the people who genuinely need help. Their lack of transparency, their predatory pricing, and their disrespect toward customers say everything you need to know. If this review stops even ONE person from being taken advantage of the way I was, then it's worth writing twice -- because Yelp deleted the first one. I will NEVER use Randy's Electric again, and I strongly warn anyone considering them: Run the other way. Do not let them take advantage of you the way they did to me.
