The staff at J&S is always smiling and very welcoming, but the kitchen can take a while to get plates out. So if you're just driving through, it's not the best place to go for something fast that you can sit down to. The ice cream is fantastic and never a long wait. The menu is solid, though I'd recommend avoiding anything deep fried (the onion rings, popcorn shrimp, etc) since it's guaranteed to arrive at your table either burnt or just warm. Good was cold and it took over an hour to get it. Table was dirty and it was very expensive.

Pleasant surprise after too much road trip processed food. Nice selection of salads and even a salad bar. German pastas were yummy.

Food was good, but service was extremely slow. The wait staff never checked in us and I had to go ask for silverware as we were brought out food without being brought so much as a fork. The service was so poor it ruined the experience. read more
