We had them come to bring trees down that were leaning over our house. They did that, but caused a huge divot in our driveway which they took off $100 for. Then, we had them build a retaining wall and they made divots with the machine in our driveway as well. We were leaving and paid them for the job thinking it would be finished that day. Well, they get 4 bells of hay and lay them on the bank, don't finish the wall, and are supposed to bring a load of gravel for the back part of the driveway they dug up. It took them a month to come back to lay the gravel. The still didn't finish the wall at this point. I call them and ask them when it will be finished and what the plan was with the bells of hay. He tells me the city "made" him buy them but not to spread it.... Makes sense. Then he says he will be here Friday (today). He sends his dad today to finish the wall and my husband texts him asking him not to let whoever was doing it throw the excess block over the bank. Well, they did. My husband calls to ask him why and he says "we didn't do that". My husband had spent the entire day before cleaning out what they dumped during the project. When he was told that, he hung up the phone on my husband. It was clear that once they got their money they did NOT care about finishing the job. Very disappointing considering we waited a month for them to finish and spent a LARGE amount of money and this is how the owner decides to treat us. read more

If you need reasonable, professional tree removal, call J& L. The crew of four arrived early, got to work immediately and did not stop for eight hours. We had five gigantic dangerous, dead trees to remove near our house , and J & L exceeded our every expectation. The speed and competence with which they worked was truly amazing. After they finished, every piece of debris was removed. I have extensive gardens near the trees to be removed and dreaded having them trampled. To my amazement, nothing was harmed because of the care they took. We feel fortunate to have found J & L and hope they can remove other trees for us in the future. These guys are the best. I asked for many quotes for my job and theirs was the most reasonable. They did a fantastic job on some very challenging trees: really tall, infested with Ivy, rotten, leaning, near power lines. They were excellent. Really beautiful job. And they also dealt with my irrational rude unreasonable neighbor in a very professional manner. I was just all around impressed with this crew. If I have any more tree work I will definitely use these guys again. read more

I paid J & L to grind a stump for me on 10/02/2021. I made the mistake to pay them before I saw the work. A lot of the stump was left and I can not mow over the area. It has become a weed mess. I called them to come back. They said they would come back, but never did. I had also agreed to pay them $800 to cut two tree limbs and they never showed to do that either. Just don't make the mistake of paying them before you see the work. They did not come back and finish the job and they did not keep their word. I would gladly change my review if they would come and finish the job. read more
