The first red flag was when he arrived on my property without tools and it just went downhill from there. Unprofessional doesn't begin to describe what i experienced When he wasn't complaining about having to use a shovel, he was angry about having work in general. In between complaints he tried to dump on me all about how difficult his life is. After asking him to leave my property he decided that throwing his used soda cans out of his wife's van was a smart idea.
Just so unprofessional.
I realize now that it was a total con job. Not only did I pay him for a half of the day but he only actually worked for about 45 minutes and I'm pretty sure he planned it that way, ..."annoy em enough, complain enough, act foolish enough"... he succeeded!
I ended up doing the job myself, a female, at 60 years old.
