Modern, inviting and clean welcoming waiting area.

It all starts with Devanie at iVitamin! I've been coming here for years and today I met Devanie at the front desk who even on the brink of a holiday weekend, provided excellent customer service. This woman hustles! She explained all the services to my friend who came along to try out iVitamin for his first time. Helped make recommendations and all the things. You'll love this relaxing way to give your body the boost it needs. Make sure you tell them Michael Tyler sent you!

iRenew Review for Flu Patient Talked my husband into going to get the iRenew IV therapy today after he has been battling the flu for 7 days. He had been on tamaflu for 4 days, lowest fever in those 7 days but he hasn't been able to keep a meal down in a week, very sore/weak muscles and extremely nauseated and weak due to lack of nutrition. We did 1 bag of iRenew with added dose of zofran for nausea at 2:00 pm. At 4:30 pm we got home and I prepared him a grilled chicken salad, hoping this was a light option. He kept it down with no issues. Also, got a little experimental and at 1/3 cheesecake slice from the Cheesecake Factory, again, with no issues. He is going to return to work tomorrow after being out 7 business days, when this morning we weren't sure when he'd be going back. Highly recommend for any patient/person who is extremely nauseated and/or malnourished. Is very worth the investment, as it will cost you more money being out of work for a unnecessary length of time.

This honestly is a hard review to write as I'm between 3-4 stars. I received an offer on FB for a free vitamin drip since IVitamin just opened up. I called and set up my appointment which was super easy and got tons of reminders about my appointment via email and text. The location is easy to find as it is located right within a small plaza that has Freebird World burrito and Dominican Joe Coffee shop off of Soco. There was plenty of parking on a Monday afternoon and it was free! Upon checking in, I was taken back to sit in one of the best massage chairs I ever experienced. I was ask to take off my shoes and replace them with booties. This appealed to my sanitary side. I was given a booklet to read about all the iv therapies, package deals and a health history form to fill out. I was also offered water, a blanket and a snack. I had been forgotten about after sitting there in the chair for one massage cycle (30mins). Honestly I didn't mind too much because the massage chair was working its magic. Once I said something, they realized that yes I was sitting there for awhile and lets get her started. A tech briefly went over my paperwork asking a few questions about a few things I had indicated on the form. Nothing major so we proceeded to the drop. I opted to upgrade my drip to the sports drip called iregenerate. After about 5 minutes, I was hooked up with my drip. I relaxed in the chair and let the drip do its magic. Now do I feel a difference? Hmm it is about 3-4 hours later after this review and not really. Maybe just a tad bit more energy. The reading material stated that people respond differently. Some people don't get the full effects until multiple treatments. The claim behind IVitamin is that vitamins we take orally do not get absorbed in the body as well as if they are introduced intravenously. I am honestly curious how an IV from here would be with a hangover. A hangover is typically because your body is so dehydrated. That is why if you take pedialyte the morning after drinking it can help a lot.

If you know me, you know I work hard so I can play hard. That being said, Mr. Smidgens loves a great workout and an even better libation! I have tried hydro therapy before whilst in the mountains of Steamboat, Colorado. I had recently had a long grueling battle with the black plague that had covered Austin like a wet stinky blanket on a cold night. Ewww... Can you imagine?? After fighting off the sickness and trying to feel normal again, I decided to go in to IVitamin for some IV therapy. It being my first time they had me fill out the normal documents via an iPad and take a selfie for my profile. After completing my Spanish inquisition they handed me some booties and told me that were for my feet. Good thing to, because I was about to put them on my hands. *WINK* I sat back in the massage chair, got my pressure taken, they asked what IV cocktail I wanted and then did my best impression as a pin cushion. The young lady administering my IV had some issues hitting my vein. Took her 3 times. I let it slide as I slid into a REM state. The way that chair massaged me was pretty much lifeless bliss. I felt hydrated after and as loose as a wet noodle from that massage chair. I went in for a 2nd session with a buddy and we were put in the large room without the massage chairs. I felt bad because I had talked about those chairs to him on the way there. No worries right? Wrong, the same little girl was my IV technician and she thought she was playing in a dart competition. She said I had thick skin. Haha! I reminded her that she had issues last time I was there. She grabbed the other tech. He got it in the first try. I made that mental not for next time. All in all, the IV therapy can be very beneficial. Most people are dehydrated on a daily basis and they don't even know it. Your body will take in the vitamins it needs and flush the rest. That's how your body works. I will continue to go, but I won't let little miss poke a hole administer any more IVs on me. Here's to staying hydrated!

Was super excited to find a centrally located IV bar here in Austin to help in my fight against a chronic immune related issue. My expectations were curbed 4-5 visits later. Same as most watered down IV bars w/ good customer svc and exorbitant pricing for any worthwhile IV. If you've got a hangover and have to feel better, maybe. Effects are marginal. If you're fighting a virus or for immune-related purpose, effects are negligible. There are other wellness clinics in Austin that provide more reasonably priced-higher dosed IVs for folks w chronic conditions.

Thank God for this place. After a night of partying with my girls, I was in desperate need of anything that could help me bounce back. My friend googled this place and I figured why not. I have been sick all morning and could barely move. I figured I had one shot to make it there before they closed to get some fluids. The receptionist was so sweet and personable. She made me feel really comfortable since it was my first time there. The place was so clean and cute! The chairs were leather with built in massagers. I was given a blanket and pillow for comfort as well. The nurse practitioner did my vitals and then the nurse got my IV in 1 poke. The entire process took maybe 30 minutes and I feel GREAT. Now I just need to eat lol. Thank you IVitamin for bringing me back to life!

Ask the Community - IVitamin

Do you have medical staff?

Hi! Yes, we have a Medical Director over the whole practice, then we also have Nurse Practitioners, Registered Nurses and Paramedics providing our IV services in clinic.

How long does it take to complete an IV?

Hi Donna, it can range from 20mins to a hour depending on the volume being infused. Everyone is a bit different in terms of vein sizes and dehydration status so that can also affect the duration of the infusion. Hope this helps!

I am a fan of True Rest floats. The float experience is absolutely wonderful in terms of stress…read morereduction and a general feeling of calm well-being, and the atmosphere at True Rest, both before, and after your float, enhances that feeling. In my recent visit, I tried their Vitality Suite, which consists of a combo of infrared sauna, red light therapy, and a cold plunge. The attendant was very nice as she described the process. Unlike the float, which has an automatic timer built in, the vitality suite experience is one in which you are expected, or at least encouraged, to watch the clock. I wondered whether 45 minutes might actually be too long, but it was not. Not at all, actually. By the time I showered, got heated up in the sauna, and got myself into the cold plunge, which is very, very cold, the clock said I was 36 minutes into my 45! Since I had seen no other customers, I didn't think anyone would be pounding on the door, but still, I felt constrained and not relaxed at having to watch the clock. I tried the red light therapy, but felt no sense that it was doing anything for me. Maybe my cells were regenerating without my knowledge. So back into the sauna, then back into the cold plunge, and by then I was well over my time. When I was showered and dressed, I saw the attendant had just come to check on me, but I didn't really feel any time pressure, except what was self-imposed. But that still made the experience less relaxing than it should've been. The elegant one-person sauna was nicer than the one I use at my gym, and the cold plunge was much colder, which was bracing. But overall, I was not especially impressed with the vitality suite since it is pretty much what I already do at my gym. I would come back and pay the pricey price for floats at True Rest, but the vitality suite experience did not work for me.

I went into this experience expecting to love it - I got the pure silence I craved…read more The facility was very clean, and I felt comfortable being there. The float itself was good, a strange sensation, but I can see why people love it (especially after a few times to get used to it). My biggest problem was that the light switch inside my pod didn't work, and that triggered a little bit of my panic reflex. I ended up cracking the pod open a couple times to calm myself down, and that detracted from the experience.

True Rest is one of the very few places in the Austin area that offers float therapy. As a first-timer and now a member, each float benefited me personally with relaxed muscles, soothed joints, and therapeutic sleep. Working at a desk job all week tenses my shoulders and back. It's uncomfortable and stresses me out. But I've felt rejuvenated after each float session. I like to compare it to an experience at the chiropractor, but without the cracking of the spine or neck. The magnesium in the 1,000 lbs of epsom salt in the float pod naturally decompresses my spine, which in turn relaxes my muscles. I'm often in such a relaxed state that I fall asleep while floating, which I hear is the optimal state for a float. Each float pod is in its own private room, and there's a shower with shampoo, conditioner, and body wash to wash off all the resaltan afterwards. They also have a free oxygen bar after floating, and a delicious sweet, Egyptian Licorice tea that I like to drink afterwards. They have a get-ready room for anyone needing to go to a function afterwards, and their restrooms are always kept clean and well-stocked. I have also used their vitality suite, which offers a Norwegian sauna, red light therapy, and a cold plunge. I take advantage of all 3 during my sessions and I've been satisfied with the benefits that come from pairing all 3 together. I think a membership there is worth it as it really cuts down the per session cost. That said, I go weekly that serves as my end-of-week reset before the next work week starts.
