do not go to this place!!!! the nurses are very unprofessional. she poked me with the needle and started the IV when the needle was not in my vein. i asked her multiple times to make sure it was in the vein before starting the drip and she completely ignored me. It was very painful when this was happening and she kept the drip going. see attached photo of my arm. this is taken almost a week later and it is still that bruised. additionally, she didn't even put a warm compress on my arm afterward so it could absorb the liquid. she had no idea what she was doing. you want a place you can trust for things like this, and IVitamin is not that place. They did not even offer to refund after and i was responsible for finding out how to properly care for my arm. read more

I was VERY skeptical of IV Vitamin therapy, but a friend highly recommended this, and I was super sick, so I gave it a try. My skepticism was first curbed shortly after I filled out the intake form. I'll explain: as a recovering cancer patient who is now in "remission" I didn't know all of my medication, so I just put "too many to list" on the intake form. When the nurse met with me, she explained that my safety is their first priority and she would not administer any IV until she knew all of my medication and could check them for any conflicts with the IV therapy. That was a great start! After I was able to track down the medications, she went in the back to look all of them up, and once she confirmed there were no conflicts, she administered the "Immunity" IV. Everything went smoothly, and then... 12 hours later, after having been sick as a dog for 5 weeks (largely because my immune system is severely compromised due to the one year of chemotherapy I've been on), I felt 90% better! And I woke up the next morning feeling nearly 100% better! Based on such a positive first experience, I will definitely be going back, and likely getting one of their monthly memberships. read more

This place is a gem and I'm so glad my friend told me about it. I came here on a Friday afternoon after... how can I put this lightly.... a friend of mine came over the night before and we drank a little too much wine. I was feeling a little hungover and completely dehydrated so I decided this was a good opportunity to try IV therapy. I made my appointment online and luckily got the last parking spot in the lot (I would say there aren't enough parking spots for the businesses in the complex). The front desk girl was very friendly checking me in and gave me an iPad to fill out the necessary forms. They have you take a picture for your account, which I wish I would have known because I looked horrible of course. After completing the paperwork, they took me back to the treatment area which was about half a dozen deluxe massage chairs interspersed in a dimly lit room. I settled in and got my "low back" massage setting going while the nurse practitioner took my vitals. They give you a menu with the different vitamin cocktails to choose from (all mixed in-house) and I definitely took advantage of the discount you get your first visit and ordered the "Everything" option because it was $150 off making it only $100. My nurse was friendly and extremely efficient in inserting my IV. We did hit a valve on my left arm so we had to do the right arm instead, but she was so quick about it I really didn't feel much pain at all. I leaned back and read my book while someone brought me a pillow and a bottle of water. My dehydrated body sucked down my full liter banana bag in about 30 minutes and I was already starting to feel so much better. They finished my IV with an injection of glutathione, a super antioxidant that is supposed to improve skin complexion among other things. Then they took the IV out, wrapped my arm with a bandage, and I was good to go! I felt so great post-IV, hydrated and energized! This is for sure the best hangover cure and I can see how amazing it is to not be chronically dehydrated like so many of us are. I had been working out pretty intensely that week and could feel a reduction in my muscle soreness, so I see how athletes benefit from this treatment as well. I came here with my boyfriend here a couple of weeks ago. He didn't want to come here and I pushed him saying of course everyone was certified and had licenses to be giving us IV's. We just got the normal irehydrate... right after my boyfriends started bruising up and I was astounded... as someone who has a medical background i did not want to give a bad review. Then, a couple hours after mine bruised up and we both had HUGE bruises on our arms. I'm appalled. NO ONE should go here. I also recently got a call from them saying they were starting injectibles... ARE YOU KIDDING. I'm writing this review because I don't think anyone should go to them for IV's, much less injectables. If I could give this place negative stars I would. I'm exactly the kind of customer these places hate. The ones who use the severe discount, which is intended to incentivize the purchase of a monthly membership, but never purchase said membership. Unfortunately, I've enrolled in monthly memberships in the past -- from massages to gyms -- and it ends up like the Tinder date from hell. So I'd rather pay more to get what I want when I want it. Sorry, Marketing team! With that said, I responded to a Facebook ad and signed up for a free session the same day. I picked the IRejuvenate, which is intended for jetlag and fatigue, but I used it to nurse a non-nauseous hangover. The location is in a small shopping center next to a coffee shop and burrito place, which seems incongruent and a little mean if you're going here to be healthy, but has sufficient parking. Inside is set up like an hip, upscale spa with decor and ambient music to match. The staff is all female (which isn't an issue, just something that stood out) and very professional and polite. After I checked in I was walked to an open room the had 8 or 10 giant massage chairs, the good ones with real leather and foot/ankle massagers. All the chairs face a TV screen with footage of divers swimming with dolphins. I was given booties (though not entirely sure why) and directed to a chair. A woman gave me a brochure, turned on the massage chair, and asked if I wanted a water, snack or blanket. I declined them all (because hangover) and flipped through the brochure. Had I paid full price, my treatment would have been about $150. After I selected my "cocktail" the first lady went to mix it and a "doctor" came to take my blood pressure and temperature. Then the needle was put in and I sat there for 30 minutes. Another lady did come in for treatment and that's when I realized this open room set up is not ideal. Without meaning to, I overheard her discussion about her cancer treatments and medical restrictions as she tried to choose the option that would bear her. If I come back, I'm going to bring my ear buds. Overall, the experience was not comparable to the cost. The atmosphere is relaxing and the chair is amazing. However, I didn't feel any better or worse afterwards -- which I was assured would change after multiple sessions. (Of course). And the open room is distracting. If I came back, it would probably be for a post-Girls Night Out bond. read more

I walked in without an appointment and it was able to get in. There were several other people in there but by the time I filled out my paperwork, I only had a 5 minute wait to get my IV. I have been doing IV hydration quite a bit- it helps with the constant fatigue from my heavy travel schedule. I also do it when I am sick as it seems to cut my recovery time in half. They have cool lounge massage chairs and it is very calm in there. The nurse who gave me the IV was really nice. Most importantly, this place is very clean. I have been to many of these types of businesses and some of them look stale- i.e. go check out the ones in vegas. I got the regular drip but I added some vitamin C in there because I sit in a metal tube in the sky breathing the same recycled with 200 other people. I went in this Sunday after a triathlon. As you can guess I was dehydrated and pretty worn out. I showed up to iVitamin as a walk in and was greeted right away. The girl in the front checked me in and put me in a massage chair to fill out some paperwork. After that was completed another employee discussed my options and 5 minutes later I was hooked into my drip. The massage chair was so awesome I passed out. After the drip was done I was awaken by an employee to remove the IV and bandage me up. At first, I didn't notice a big difference. I was out for close to 30 minutes, so I really wasn't sure how I was going to feel. As I was driving home I did start to feel better and had more energy. Typically after a race or long training I'm back at home passed out. I guess this time with a post race drip I actually felt normal. I would definitely recommend it after a race or long training. The heat will take a lot out of you and from what I can tell it helped me recover. I would do it again. Maybe the day before a race might be as beneficial or more. I am surprised to see complaints about poor needle insertion because I find these folks way better at it than the average nurse getting a blood draw at the doctor's office. I love that you can get in and out in exactly 45 minutes so you can fit it into your schedule easily. I LOVED my Botox results! I've been getting Botox regularly for 3 years now and was nervous to switch RN's but so glad I did because Amber was sooo gentle and light with her pokes. Normally Botox hurts for me but with Ambers Botox application I barely felt a thing! Normally I dread getting pricked with a needle in my face but this was nothing!! Some parts of my body are still in pain, not as bad, but still this was 5 days ago. No to mentioned that my arm is still all bruised. My friend was asked how the experience was, and he mentioned my situation. The nurse, Lia, called me and asked to go and see her. I left work earlier because they close at 3:15 pm yesterday (1/3/2018). Here is the most disrespectful things I have heard: Yes, sometimes a nerved is pinched with the needle. If you don't get better in 10 days, go and see your physician (obviously at my own expense). And this one is the top and worse of everything. All their supposed "CONCERN" about my situation and health was to sell me some of their medications. So, seriously, you make me leave work earlier to over sell me your stuff!!! Just FYI, I am NOT a complainer, and the couple of reviews I have written on Yelp are excellent reviews. You really have to get into my nerves, and careless, for me to complain. I came to try I vitamin after receiving a free offer to try it out. Although the staff tried to upsell me on different additives to the IV fluids I opted for the free basic fluids. It was only after my treatment that I was told it would take three to four additional treatments to feel any effects. The massage chair was nice, however the lighting of the Room placed the overhead lights shining right in my face, which was not very conducive to relaxation. All the information about the benefits of the IV hydration seemed pretty basic. I think Austin is a educated town and I wish the practitioners would have gone more in depth about the actual physiological processes that happen and what to expect. During the infusion I felt cold and a little bit nauseous, nothing severe and those side effects are listed in the introduction brochure , so I expected them. Having been to several other IV therapy places in Texas, this one by far is the best. The attention to customer service, cleanliness and ease the techs put you is what separates this place from the rest. I was very relaxed the entire time. Everyone explained every step of the process and I didn't feel pressured into anything at any time. Overall such a great experience that I signed up for the monthly VIP which dropped the price down that I ended up paying 40$ less than I've paid at any other IV "bar". Such a wonderful experience! I walked in a very very sick person with my newborn. They were so welcoming and took me back to a private and cozy room. I was greeted by a nurse practitioner who talked to me about my illness and then went and made a custom bag for me..Which was safe for breastfeeding as well. Got my free I VITAMIN drip this morning (Saterday) after traveling and 12 hour days all week then put on an evening bender Friday. I don't feel any better after the treatment. I would say for the reviews that say "not much changed" and the staff told them repeated treatments are where you see the benefit- the staff are absolutely right. They are not trying to " lure you in." Considering the average daily water intake recommendations (IOM) for an adult male is 3.7 liters/15 cups (female: 2.7 liters/11 cups) or 2 liters per day (Mayo Clinic), and let's assume you don't drink that much: (I don't for sure!) You are only getting 1 liter of fluids from this place. That's less than half of your daily requirement so it's not gonna be an instant rejuvenation, or a huge improvement unless you are really dehydrated. You will need repeated visits because they won't be giving you 3 liters of fluids at this place. I see this service benefiting people who are unable to get the fluids and/or vitamins they need (hungover, chronically sick, pregnant, etc) and not your average healthy Joe. The average person is probably just going to pee out the vitamins they're getting, like trying to overfill a car's gas tank. Putting in more fuel than it needs isn't going to make the car run any better. According to CDC, most Americans get all the vitamins they need from their food (a lot of which is fortified) with the exception of certain groups of people (pregnant, children, poor) and the common deficiencies are iodine, iron and vitamin D. Says the department of health and human services, what people are really missing is potassium, fiber, calcium and Vitamin D. Most of which can be gotten by eating them, unless you can't eat. (Read: hungover, pregnant, chronically ill). Take it as it is, not a miracle cure, but a nice little jumpstart if you're lagging. Maybe it helps you, maybe it doesn't . That's something you need to decide for yourself. For me, I am pregnant and throwing up a lot. I'm a poor drinker of water. I'm chronically constipated and my skin is peeling. To prevent my fetus turning into a raisin, I decided to get IV fluids from here. I could care less if there's vitamins in it. It's cheaper than a hospital and close to my work. I don't expect miracles. But I was able to go number 2 after 1 session and my urine looked less yellow, so that's a win. read more

I came in for the hangover recovery IV. How hung over I was- i woke up still drunk and around noon I was puking. It was one of those nights. I felt nauseous, weak, and had a headache that felt like a train ran me over. Came into this place barely alive and walked out a completely new person!! This place cured 90% of my hangover.
