You can go as-needed and pay for only the services you need. Since they're in-network with most insurance, it's super affordable, and it's easy to schedule an appt with their flexible office hours. Dr. J. (Joëlle Renaud) is my preferred provider, she's very friendly and knowledgeable and has a good bedside manner. I trust her judgment and always leave feeling considerably better than when I arrived. I've since moved about 25 miles away farther than I was (Media to Ambler, PA,) and I still make the 50 mile drive there because most providers around here are either out of network, more expensive, or just not as good. I went to Dr. Chiara Mariani of Premiere Orthopaedics in Elmer, and she prescribed me a course of physical therapy. *Check out my glowing review of Dr. Mariani if you have time. It's under Premiere Orthopaedic Associates, Elmer NJ I chose NovaCare from a list of several options. I'm glad I did, because the treatment I got there was outstanding. I had been prescribed up to 3 visits per week for 6 weeks. When I got there and the physical therapist assessed my situation, he told me all those visits wouldn't be necessary. I liked that, because it told me they weren't just looking to milk me. With my co-pay, the visits were only $20- less than half of what the chiropractor charged. I have a feeling that, with a chiropractor, I would have been milked for every visit too....cha ching! I went 4 or 5 times, and saw a different therapist almost each time. They taught me a host of core strengthening exercises, and the relief was IMMEDIATE. After I felt I had learned what I needed, they cut me loose and that was it. Problem solved. Not once did they try to talk me into more visits than were necessary. I can't say enough good things about Novacare and Dr. Mariani. If you have back problems, and think you're just spinning your wheels with a chiropractor, try the route of physical therapy. It worked for me.
